In control but an accident waiting to happen at the back?
I think we are doing relatively well at the back. Mitoma is a great player, so he did well to create that chance, but otherwise they have been quiet, so we must have done something right.

Just said that Brighton have had one shot, which is the worst they have done at home for a decade.

So we are doing something right lads
It's a broken up game, not helping either side.
What we're doing well is keeping them at arms length without hitting our stride.
It'll be a work in progress for a couple of months, hence the chopping and changing.

Haaland back amongst the goals the biggest positive. Marmoush our brightest player, won loads of duels with his pressing.

We keep giving up too many easy turnovers though. Bobb, Reijnders and Bernardo have turned it over 20 times between them. Not good enough in a City midfield. Thankfully we look more solid to deal with it and better at pressing to win it back.

Several gears we can go up once it clicks, we very much look like a loads of new players learning to play together...which is what we are!

Ait Nouri has been class a constant option on the left, problem is Marmoush is.coming central rather than staying in front of him to offer an option so he's doing 2 jobs.
Yep, there have been a couple of times that they've let him have it wide left because they know he's isolated

Bernardo glues us all over the pitch. I think Nico would give us even more control, so maybe something to think about.

I thought the opposite, yes, he should have passed to Bobb, but overall a lot of intelligent movement, and a great assist.
Just checking on that fotmob he's rated are worse player of the half with 0 tackles 0 ground battles won and one 3 passes in final 3rd with only 84% pass accuracy but runs around you got to offering more than that if your the captain

He's better on the ball than Dias thats for certain

Not sure he is but it isn't a criticism of him anyway - I want him to olay more! Regardless, I hate it when Dias/Akanji have loads of possession in the opponent's half but at least with Khus, he has the pace to get back I guess. Stones is the only CB we have who I am ok with having the ball that far forward.

Marmoush reminds me of Sterling abit, never looks pretty but puts up decent numbers.

We're playing pretty conservatively for us. Full backs never overlapping, not a particularly high line, not committing huge numbers forward. Our best moments have arguably been on the break.

Enough chances to have daylight between us.

Been getting the rub of the green from the ref…so far!

Still getting caught on the ball in the middle of the park, which is releasing their wingers.

Trafford still looks a bit shaky, but made a good early save when they sprang the offside trap.

Rodri looking good on first start, but now they’re doubling him up causing Bernardo to have to come back to pick up the ball.

Marmoush looking feisty, but doesn’t get his head up enough.

Haaland fluffed first, pulled second unlucky with headed third, clinical on fourth. Running his socks off and playing bigger role for team, which is good.

Khusanov has had a good first showing. R.A.N. not helping him out much, but Pep seems to be relying on his speed to cover the LB spot for the ball in behind.

Reijnders anonymous so far. Neither here nor there with defending and attacking.

Overall, seem in control, but they’ve had their moments, and will have more. Another goal needed to stop any momentum from them.

He's doing an understated job - dropping to give Trafford another option, moving the ball & plugging gaps.

He was mince last week, but having a decent game today
Surely his only job cant be to keep the ball moving

Think Marmoush has been lively and created danger, some of you are asking for way too much, let the players and team settle.

We’ve played well.
