Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | Post Match Thread

When was the last time our title hopes ended after 3 games? May seem comically over the top but the reality is we are nowhere near good enough to mount a title challenge. Deservedly beaten by two distinctly average premier league sides on the bounce and its a sign of things to come.

Same problems as last season persist and no signs of any solutions to them. We'll be a 60ish points team in a real battle for top 4 and it wont even be especially enjoyable to watch either.

As I said on the spurs thread during the Brighton game (been as clueless as the team for my last 3 posts)
Only winner here is the new 300% mark ups on the ticket exchange scheme hope they have enough bandwidth to cope
 
The cry was it was all because of Rodri's injury and we'd be right once he got back. Well he's just played 90 minutes there and we might as well have had last seasons shirt on.
 
Absolutely clueless and boring to watch. Zero pace, zero power, lightweight rubbish. Every single player we've signed in the last 18 months has been a massive downgrade. The academy lads are nowhere near good enough either. This squad won't be winning anything. Won't even get anywhere close.
 
Hmm we're not very good are we.

I expected more chaos this season, with plenty of goals, but somehow we've signed attacking players yet still look boring, and continue to leak goals. Not a great combo.
 
Thought we looked sharp and in control until Nunes brain freez, and their changes. But after that it all fell apart.

This game looked very similar the bad games last season, and that is bad VERY bad. Ait-nouri not impressed with his passing and defending this game.

One positiv thing is that Rodri is back

I agree with your post generally, but I honestly don’t think you can accuse Khusanov of not getting stuck in or being a coward in any sense. I also saw Bernardo showing hunger (and class) all afternoon,

I agree with every word apart from now being a top 5 side, we're now a level below unfortunately.
