Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Time to say good buy. We need new ideas. New faces. This is not it. Something had to give.. 2 loses out of 3 games in the beginning of the season is a joke
I wish we could say good buy but I don't see any at the moment.

What do people expect Pep to do?

Spurs: First goal, Stones terrible attempt at playing offside then falls over. Second goal Trafford gives it to them 5 yards out. Two goals from two mistakes

Today: First goal, handball for no reason. Second goal, Stones goes 20 yards out of possession and clears it straight to a Brighton player who then passes it into the giant hole he left and they score. Two goals from two mistakes.
Gee idk spurs were killing up on the counters yet we decided to play a Highline and consistently get caught. Every attack against us feels like we will get scored in.. that’s not bad luck, that’s tactics.. maybe stop experimenting with shit players? Lewis for example is not top class stop playing that inverted fb crap.. we have had bad luck sure but we have had a lottttt of tactical suicide also.

How would he have reacted a few years ago to that performance?

Very differently than he did today I would argue - strolling around with his hands in his pockets, no real sign of anger or frustration, no real direction being provided to the players.

If the team continually fall apart after conceding, are wide open at the back and fail to break down teams down then I’m afraid there’s only one person to blame and that’s the manager.

Here we go again. The cry arses are out again.
watch a 17/18 match, even one we lose, and you try to tell me we are CLOSE to matching that. We’re a shell of ourselves, can’t even press and that’s like pep’s line one, page one..

No point in lying to ourselves, we are bad and it’s not changing soon.

Before it was just having to iron out the poor defending and gifting too many chances.

Now you can add, not being able to control a game and as a result look fucking awful going forward. It's just going downhill in every aspect.

Its just fucking boring side to side play until someone loses it, then one long ball down the channels and the opponents in.
Its taken HOW long to get Khusa in despite the glaring weakness? That alone is a worry ffs.

Something is not right at the moment, don't know what but these players aren't exactly running through brick walls for pep atm

He is in charge of RESULTS, and results are his primary objective. The results are woeful and to back it up the performances are worse than anything weve seen with him as manager.

Dont give me the 'what can he do' rubbish, hes been well backed and given enough time to make changes to our set up but instead we are regressing at an alarming rate.

The attacking tactics are shit. We used to blow teams away. Now we get 1-0 up (if we’re lucky) and then try and control the game for the rest. Regardless of if we score in the 1st, 30th or 85th minute.

It’s shit. And shows how shit scared Pep has become.

Needs to grow some bollocks IMO. He’s in tactical fear every game and it’s affecting us badly.

Who are some realistic candidates to take over?
Feels like all exiting mangers are unrealistic to get.
Rip the band-aid now, or it's just gonna get worse imo.

Who though?

Mourinho? Ten Haag?

Rather he gets given the season than go for who is available now.

Shouldn't be replaced unless someone like Enrique is available
Every manager is a down grade from pep when ever he goes but the sooner the better he’s finished unfortunately. But if he stays we will 100% finish out of the top 4 possibly top 6

Tomorrow by 7pm is the biggest day of the season to date.
We see what happens he keeps saying, it’s the match what needs sorting first - and if he cannot sort it it’s time for change I think, he would have gone in summer if it wasn’t for that CWC, legacy will be tarnished otherwise way things are going

I want to know whose decision it was to start betting on players potential and buying to develop as opposed to buying to win.

We clearly don't even have a squad capable of winning anything this year. If pep has been the mastermind behind this philosophy, then yes serious questions have to be asked, and at the bear minimum those keys need to be taken away. If not, then some serious questions need to be asked about whoever is in charge of recruiting at this club.
