TBF who is he supposed to play at RB. We have spent the last 2 weeks slagging off Lewis

I would like a specialised RB. Without it Id play Khusonov there and him Stones and one other form a back three when in possession with Ait Nouri into midfield.

Few tweaks is all not like we're miles away. Brighton ain't a shit side and were absolutely nowhere near till we gave a soft penalty away.

Keep thinking that if it takes that to make you feel better - we are MILES off it - not even close

2 right backs needed - one or two centre halves needed

left back who cares wouldnt go a miss as well

and thats before you get to central midfield and the wide players (who are not wide players but cnetral attackers who areall being forced to play outwide)

Second half performance was poor, heads went down as soon as Brighton scored. The team is not good enough as it stands and we don't have the physicality to be able to overcome teams anymore. Not sure what the answer is but Pep has a lot of work to do.

Stones and Khuzanov was really good together. Trafford had a good game aswell.

I've been calling Dias out every game now and that jogging back for the second goal is absolutely disgraceful. How the fuck he just secured a contract is beyond me.

When I watch our games I don't know what gameplay we have anymore it's so painful. This squad has a serious mentality problem, as soon as we concede we fall apart. Something really does need to change.

The player we are missing is Phil Foden.

Before today, it was Rodri, and before that it was Bobb. We need more tactical fixes than personnel I think.

A right back and a left back with no positional sense and no idea how to tackle. The whole performance was just passionless, the only positives were Rodri and Trafford.

I'm not saying we have nothing wrong, but I guarantee there were people saying Pep out late in 2020 too. Let's just give the team time to gel, see what we do to adapt and maybe breathe a little.

Its not just the results though. It's the fact we don't seem to have improved after last season.

I could take the results if we showed signs of looking like a top team.

We are losing these games because we are miles off it. It's not a bad little spell, it's a true reflection of where we are.

No one but hopefully Pep will realise it himself. The club is also massively to blame as we have not replaced the world class players we have lost.

one thing I wanted a good result before 2 weeks of break. hard to comprehend what we did in trainings all week that resulted us being so bad in 2nd half.
Brigthon needed their first win in 3 games, so we assisted with that but why...
they will suffer so much more vs Bournemouth next round than today.

Brighton played to their strengths and completely exposed City’s weaknesses. Attacking City with direct ball after direct ball and having more attackers than City had defenders. Brighton had City constantly defending having to face their own goal.
It was pretty basic, but very effective & a huge concern that City couldn’t find a way to regain any control.
What’s really worrying, is that the rags play a similar direct way to the way Brighton played today.

Pep has become the problem.

I know the hate will flow typing a comment like that.

It’s time we put our big boy pants on and made the proper decision.

The man is untouchable due to everything he has done for us but it’s clear he has lost something. The winning machine he created is long gone. He doesn’t look like the same ruthless coach.

He said, he would not want to be the problem.

We have an awful decision to make but make it we must or accept poor performances each week.

Pep stays and turns this around I will have made a fool out of myself but that my feelings as of today.

I felt last season when he has no answers to our injuries and played the same suicidal high line that he was done. Game now is a strong midfield amd attack with directness, pace, power, strength and we so outdated with small, technical yes but slow soft players. And our transfer choices have been largely shocking. Cant see the club sacking him but think now getting a replacement for next season should be a priority.
How many players did he improve in his 1st 7 or do years, so many. But can you say any player has got better iver the last few years. I cant.

They aren't. It's just they run forward. So bizarre to watch. This liverpool arsenal game will look like a different sport. We're so ponderous and dull. Rodri looked decent though if we're looking for positives, also Khus was alright as well.

These players are not world class, only Rodri and Haaland (88 goals in 100 games).

We had a whoe summer and much longer than that since Kyle Walker left, to idnetify the players we needed - that is on Viana/Txixi

I thought the defence was playing really well until the penalty but our response after the penalty was non existent. Khusanov is a bit reckless but his pace is vital. Bobb looked lightweight. Marmoush may not be brilliant but he works his socks off. I fancy we need players who work their socks off this season! Early days but we do not look hungry or good enough for a title challenge. I would take a CL place now.

Our midfield was a gaping hole from the 60th minute. Marmoush was our best attacking outlet so the Doku sub made no sense. O’Reilly was a rabbit in the headlights for his spell though Bernardo was pretty poor himself. Nunes and Lewis are nowhere near good enough for a team with title aspirations. Bobb has moments but really needs to start delivering, he had Rodri was screaming for the ball and goes solo and loses it.

Khusanov is out best defender but yet again Stones gives a crucial ball away. Dias looks worse every match.

Honestly feel this team is done in its current form, we lack leaders, lack any sort of character and really really can’t fathom where we can turn this around. We have bought badly in midfield and attach (Reijnders and Marmoush aside) and find ourselves miles behind Liverpool and Arsenal.

We look as poor as ever as soon as we concede. Some teams respond to conceding goals by going at teams. We retreat into ourselves and look more likely to concede again.

That shape when Stones lost ball got their winner was every bit as bad as the worst of last season.

We have an awful start and could easily find ourselves out of any title race by the team we play Liverpool.

That result is as depressing as anything since December last season because after everything since then we still look a team that can play in spells but can’t sustain it for 90 minutes. Today we had a shapeless midfield, were weak defensively and lacked creativity.

Marmoush stank the gaff out!!

First touch is awful, passing erratic, and weak as piss, and yeah your right, he was out best a tracking option.
