OkWhen they signed in January they were left out when we badly needed players in there position but Pep stuck with Gundogan and Akanji

Khaldoon was blowing smoke up our asses and Pep has no answers. It is what it is. One doesn't need to be a football savant to see the club has changed its MO. Got the CL, got the 4 peat. Now it's make money and stay in and around the mix. The last 2 FA Cup finals are emblematic of the new City. No longer desperate to be top. Even half the fans are good with it and spend the bulk of their time rationalizing every dubious move we make and making excuses and insisting that because we dominated English football for the better part of a decade we now need to accept a lower standard with a big smile on our faces and a shrug. There's no reason on God's green earth we should be this bad. We lose on the regular to teams that have 2 maybe 3 players that would get in our squad. We are massively underperforming no matter what any angry clapper tries to say. Some questions need to start being asked.well 27 hours left of the window.
I go and rewatch the Khaldoon interview from June. he wasnt happy with last season and approved quite some spending in January and the summer too. an the start of this season is just as bad.
Time for a reboot. Only issue I have is do we keep the guardiola philosophy or move away to a more counter attacking team.
Not sure how this all plays out but surely we can all agree it’s not working anymore.
He could still turn it around.
Looking at our team compared to what we had is glaringly obvious the drop in quality
We are massively underperforming our resources but not our playing staff. We started today's game with 5 midtable players.Khaldoon was blowing smoke up our asses and Pep has no answers. Viana is new to the league but don’t think for one moment he is acting in isolation
Of course commercial are going to play a factor in signings, probably the biggest.Agree completely with this, stinks of Soriano to be honest as he cares more about the commercial side than the football side
Yes ,our wingers are pretty poor and i´ve said it for over a year now that we need a world class wingers ,but even with Sanes and Sterlings ,we don´t have noone as good as David and KevinProblem is you can’t look like David or Kevin without Sane’s or Walkers.
Could have had Dumfries as a short term right back for €15m. A player that has played in 2 CL finals in last 3 years.
But no, too old apparently and nearly in the grave as a footballer at 29
Of course commercial are going to play a factor in signings, probably the biggest.
For me it’s simple too many average players. We’ve been collecting them over a number of seasons and the wingers just aren’t good enough. Doku now entering his third season and looks to be going backwards. I think the tactics have some way to causing us issues but world class players have the mentality to find a way to win and we just don’t have enough of them

As he will learn very quickly, the two go hand in hand. From first hand experience. Soriano only ever crows about the turnover and commercial aspects at games and fleets over performances and success.
Agree. I just said the club's MO has changed. So there's one question you are raising, our talent level. OK, I'll do it. I'll raise a question, can this version of Pep get the better of anyone who has anywhere near our talent level or does he need to have the upper hand at every position on the pitch? Also. they started the game with 7 or 8 midtable players. So what gives? We are massively underperforming our resources but not our playing staff. We started today's game with 5 midtable players.
You can't carry clowns like Nunes and Lewis and expect to win consistently.
There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that any of our wingers are good enough for us either.
