Grass is always greener / shiny new toy - not sure Guehi would look any better in our set up. Absolute positive was Khusanov, although he was a bit rash for the fk that led to the goal - thought we looked so much better with him.

Pace is a killer and the only two players with outstanding pace in our team are Khusanov and Doku. Unfortunately Doku is a technically shit player

Don’t need him to leave, need him to adapt.

His football isn’t working for this group of players. It wasn’t working last season and It’s there for everyone to see.

And I want him to stop being an obtuse **** and sign a fukin right back that’s actually a right back! It’s insane! Ringers filling in like Sunday fukin league.

remember when we had overlapping fullbacks firing crosses into the box from the byline, now anyone that gets in that position plays the ball backwards and we end up back in our own half ffs, it's boring slow shite!

Should Nunes need more time? He isn’t good enough and looks every bit a wolves player.

Ait Nouri will hopefully be fine but is surround by bang average players. Doku ahead of him looks mid table.

The point is we used to be able to make some one like Zinchenko look amazing even out of position because everyone around him was world class.

We now have tons of mid table players making the world class ones look mid table.

We got greedy and thought we could buy 15 of them in. Show me any other constantly winning team who does that. You buy them, grow them in a successful team and then slowly change.

We aren’t doing that we are buying too many “might be good” players.
 
Somehow we have accumulated a group of players that do not adequately match the manager’s preferred style of play. So we either have a tactics problem, or a personnel problem (or possibly both). I don’t know how much of a role Pep plays in looking for signings, but I’d assume he is quite involved. Still, we have accumulated a group of speedy players that are not as good at possession football. I just don’t see how this has happened. Doku, in particular, seems to be poorly suited to Pep’s tactics.

It might be heretical to say but it's not really worked in Europe
 
We’ve had 9 amazing years with Pep and the current team. Like in all fields of life, whether football or any commercial company, if you don’t innovate, invest and beat the competition, you fall behind and get caught out.

Try telling the CEOs of Nokia and BlackBerry in 2000, they’d be finished within 5 years: lack of innovation, poor leadership decisions, competition doing things better and countering your strengths.

Regrettably, Pep’s way of playing has been found out and he’s unwilling to change.

I’ve seen dark times with City and grateful for the journey of the past decade.

But I know Pep loves City and will equally be hurting.
