Fenerbahce presenting fresh offer to City, and City readying medical for Donnarumma but dependent still on Ederson.

Because they are further ahead than us in shaping their young squad and has had easier fixtures than us. They started with a 0-0 against Palace at home where they should have lost. We are 3 games in, seriously breathe. We are going to get better.
 
I can’t see how this will work, unless we change the way we play. If we want to play pep style football, we need a keeper who’s amazing with their feet.

Trafford I think is decent, nothing spectacular though. Donnaruma is more like Joe hart with his feet
 
Guys, you can't expect our board to fix the issues we've had for an entire year. We 'still didn't sell Ederson'.. Clown business.

I’m not having a pop whatsoever mate so please don’t think I am, but what do you define as “better”?
As it stands, better would be not losing the derby.
But better as in making the top 4 and winning some games convincingly seems beyond us. And better as in mounting a title challenge looks years away.
I somewhat agree that there will be an improvement over the coming months, as there was after our shite run last year but I have serious doubts that this team as it is right now can put together some consistent decent performances. I hope I’m wrong.

A lot better than last year which saw us play poorlyf, and get humiliated in Europe but still finish third and reach a FA Cup final. I expect us to do about the same this year but look a lot better as an attacking and defensive unit as the season goes on. And then next season seriously compete for the big titles again. That should always have been expectation when it became clear that they fucked up the transition of the treble squad.

I am done raging about that and accepted that this rebuild won't happen over night.
 
I think our problems get worse with him in goals.....our playing out from the back gets worse and as Pep said in his press conference...we go more direct and we are not there to pick up the second ball...even if we were we dont have the physicality to compete whether that be any of the wide players or the large majority (baring Rodri) of our central midfield players.

We need leaders. Today we sent to sleep. Football is about personality as well as tactics and skills.
 
Not convinced one bit he improves where we are at right now.

The journalist Julien Laurens - who is a PSG fan - says he doesn't think Donnarumma even suits the PL let alone City. Says basically the one thing you have to be good at as a PL goalkeeper is being able to come out for crosses and he is terrible at it.

It's one of the reasons Onana is so bad.

Ben Foster reckons he is an immense shot stopper, but because of his height he gets lazy and takes for granted certain things in games because he knows/ or believes in too much that his height and arm length will bail him out
