—————-Trafford / Ederson————

Bobb—Foden—-Reijnders—-Doku
————-———Haaland—————

Probably about the best team we can put out. And that isn’t great. Maybe throw Cherki in for Bobb. Options on the left are shit.
Might at least be better defensively. And Stones and Rodri might give us a small bit of control in the centre of midfield.
Straw clutching, I know.

If we’re going to persist with wide fullbacks, then I think it needs to be a back three, given we have no athletic midfielders who can cover ground.

——Khusanov—Stones—Gvardiol
Nunes—-Rodri—-Reijnders—-Ait Nouri
—— Foden——Haaland——Marmoush—-

Still shit, as Nunes and Ait Nouri both aren’t good enough. And Reijnders has looked pretty weak last two games. But better than seeing us try to defend with Stones and Dias covering the whole width of the pitch.

If we lose against the rags, Pep should be publicly sacked on the pitch. His man management, game management, and tactics generally are pathetic.

Personally, I would prefer he walks this week and Kolo Toure takes over for the next month.

I'd rather see us lose fighting than roll over and die like we did today and last week.
Ric, LP's account has been hacked. There's no way he would say this normally.

We’ll go 1-0 up, they’ll equalise in the 87th minute, then our arses will collapse and they’ll get the winner in the 92nd.
They will get their 17th VAR penalty of the season in added time and ratboy will sky it into the wonky new North stand roof whilst Dunna Runner celebrates in front of the curva nord grumble merchants

This game is absolutely mammoth. If we don't win then something has to change. I don't know what the issue is but our transfer strategy and our tactics are shocking.

Once upon a time we looked to replace the guys who were getting to their twilight. Or we made hard decisions, moved players on and brought in the right people to replace them. Did Txiki go senile? Has Viana come in way out of his depth? Is Pep identifying the wrong problems?

Gundo coming back...why? Bernardo captain when he can barely move and barely pass a ball...why? Dias new contract...based on what? Rico and Nunes our right backs...why?

So many issues and whilst it is still early days, the same issues from last season exist despite huge investment. I don't see any tactics on the pitch so the new coaches and Pep need to fucking sort it out quick. But some of the players look miles off it too.

I hate derby games anyway. But the thought of this one chills my blood. Yes; they're shite.

So are we.

That's the problem. They're not great at all but at the moment they look less vulnerable than us and their play on the break style will cause us major issues.

I’m with you, we’re not going to be successful with Rico and Nunes as RBs? And couldn’t we get anyone better than AN for LB. We should’ve been in for the likes of Guehi and livramento if we’re really serious about getting back to the top.

Yep. We have spent a lot of money and ended up loaning some of those signings. Its early days and I think we have some good players but there are still blatant issues we should have addressed. And tactically I'm not sure what is going on. We can't keep giving the ball away like we are, people have to be dropped for it. The standards have fallen off a cliff. Hopefully Rodri can kick people up the arse because our current captain is as guilty as anyone.

A defeat by one of the worst United teams ever is unthinkable.

Let’s put United’s team into context.

They could have been 3-0 to Grimsby, bar an unjust disallowed 3rd goal.
They were drawing 2-2 at home to Burnley, with minutes to go.
