Doku contributed greatly to City's last league title. Won the penalty with a rare piece of individual skill against Porro when City was on the ropes. Assisted Foden for the goal that sealed the title in the last round. He was the youngest player in history to contribute four goals in a single Premier league match, City's best player against Madrid in the CL, Chelsea and Man United in the FA cup semis and finals respectively. He's Alexander Arnold's biggest nightmare. Created an insane amount of chances over the last two years. People seriously have short memories.
As for Bobb, he admittedly proved less but in his defense hes younger and also suffered a big injury crisis. But before it and after if you are unable to see how good he is technically and how smart he is in his play, his maturity, vision, then you really need to get your eyes checked. He's been running the show for his national team from such a young age. You probably don't remember this performance in the U21 derby too a couple years ago:
Clearly on another level from everyone else. Thats talent.
Talent is not the issue with Doku and Bobb. Probably not with Savinho either, although I do believe he's just physically too weak AND too poor of a shooter AND not with a great intelligence so thats a bit too many flaws. But Doku and Bobb are as good as it gets for wingers at this age. You should see Vinicius for Madrid, the near miss BDO guy. He's been terrible for a year, just terrible terrible. These guys need patience and someone to unleash their confidence and creativity. Unfortunately, I think Pep is only stifling it.
