Manuel Akanji | Rumours of an Inter loan deal

I was never his biggest fan, thought he was rash when he joined but then grew into a fairly decent player and he converted me.

The worrying thing for me is, I think he's better and more reliable than some of the defenders (& players masquerading as defenders) we're keeping.

Not too bad tbf

Napoli are strong but under Conte can implode any minute

C'mon Inter then, be supporting them in Serie A!

It is not the worst of conditions. He may well play 50% games, or they may fail to win the league but want to take up the option of buying him anyway. If it happens, good deal.

At the end of the day, with less than 5 hours to go, and 2 players over the limit, his reluctance to join 'lesser' clubs, it is about as good a deal as we could have hoped for. Assuming they are paying his wages.

Well loan fee of 2m has to play 50% of there games and win the league for that to activated! So that ain’t happening

Agree, I wasn't against him being moved on this summer as part of the refresh, but he can also count himself unlucky:

- More accomplished than Lewis at Nunes at RB
- More reliable injury-wise that Stones & Ake, and with more pace than both. But those two are HG so have survived the cut.

My concern as well. We would be more solid with Akanji at RB than with the converted midfielders.

But we let Cancelo go without an obvious replacement, Pep tweaked the system by putting Stones next to Rodri and playing Akanji at RB, and the rest is history.

With Gvardiol back in the next weeks, Pep may try Khusa at RB.

No, a loan fee of 2m regardless.

The 50% and title win is to activate the 15m buy option becoming mandatory.

Remember they could miss out on one or both of those two conditions and still choose to take the option and sign him permanently.

We did also have Walker at RB though.

Marmoush can cut defenses open, pairs up very nicely with Erling.. better than Julian in that regard.. and currently our best presser and sparkplug who makes things happen. (Presses like Bernardo used to if you look closesly)

Doku is an upgrade on Grealish.. does exactly what Pep wants him to do even though it drives people bonkers.. that's why he plays and is trusted! (keep the ball and move the ball, draw players so that others are free)

Nico G.. and Savinho..

Savinho could do a better job of not getting bullied off the ball though!

As for Nico G.. not terrible but need more of a track record.
Lol .... almost tragic blind faith.
