Im genuinely excited about a new era with Dontherummin but scared as fuck about RB and the coalescence of our midfield
We can't fix everything in 1/2 windows. And I have turned into a Nunes fan simply because he showed huge courage last season. He conceded a very unlucky pen at BHA. I want him to come good.

My hope is that Donnarumma comes in and helps our players be better. He will give them confidence. I like too that we are moving players on so that younger players can have a genuine chance in the side.

How about we just agree they're both great keepers in their own right, one doesn't have to always be better than the other?

Donnarumma isn't wanted at PSG, and Ederson either isn't wanted, or doesn't want to be at City; neither of these things make them bad keepers.

I'm trying not to focus on one vs the other, as Ederson wanting to go doesn't give us the choice of one or the other; in fact it's Donnarumma or Trafford, and i know which one I'd rather be facing each week.

We lack characters, presence, and big game players, since we have now seen the ending of large parts of our treble winning team; Donnarumma brings an aura and a presence, and he's not bad in net either.

I think he's a great signing, in fact, I think he'll be the best signing we've made since Haaland.
Probably have to change approach a bit with him between the sticks but maybe it’s time for that. Great shop stopper and is a winner. Strange one to call but think should be a success

a market opportunity, not to be missed, if he is good so much the better, if he does not give satisfaction and Trafford proves to be better, then he will be sold for at least the same purchase price to a Premier League team, in Italy, Saudi Arabia, Turkey... there will always be a market for him, the club does not lose money with him

Don't think we have the players anymore to control a game like we used to, so either way it feels like time for a change.

Ultimately, there is no other keeper in world football that can do what Ederson does to that level, so we'd have a drop off in that quality anyway?

You mean the guy who stared down England at Wembley in the Euro 2021 final? The guy who made Saka, Rashford, and Sancho cry? The guy who was playing for AC Milan at 16? The guy who kept a clean sheet v. his long-time derby opponent Inter in a CL final? That guy? Yea, I'm sure he's scared to death of facing United at the Etihad...LMFAO
He’s desperate for Donna to make a mistake so he can wank himself stupid

lets be honest ederson is unhappy because we paid him shite and he was one of the top 3 most important people on the pitch the last 10 years.

I provided some stats on Donnarumma last season, on their own, they're utterly meaningless so I compared them to the man he is replacing for a reference point, I dont think thats anything but a reasonable thing to do.

Not sure your claim of there always being a market for him is accurate. Teams dont buy and sell keepers anywhere near as often as outfield players and there is only a very select few teams that would be willing to pay him the wages he is going to get here, even PSG didnt think he was worth want he wants. He's far too young for a Saudi club to come in for him so the clubs he could potentially move to if he were to be moved on at some point in the future would be very small.

Fucking hell how are all these youtubers now making it onto mainstream TV, just comes to show the clowns that watch this shite I suppose.

Cheers for that, hadn't a scooby who he was.

They come out with the dumbest shit imaginable and then people flock to twitter or YouTube to yell at them for it.

And somehow nobody learns that you can just ignore them. Thus they end up being brought on to mainstream sports channels because more social media engagement means more money.

Thoughtful analysis of the game has now taken a backseat to calling Ballon D'Or candidates overrated because it gets more traffic on socials.

To be fair, they inexplicably get more viewers on YouTube than the mainstream TV get nowadays. Its probably seen as a step down from most to go there.

Very unlucky indeed . He just didn’t quite hold onto the ball long enough to get his full signature on it.

You’re right about courage too. There’s only Martin Petrov I’d want more if it came to being in the footballing trenches.

I want him to come good too but I'm sorry, that penalty wasn't unlucky. It was a Martin Petrov level of cowardice that schoolkids are trained out of.

So many people moaning on here about our business and we aren't signing the calibre of player required. Sign the best keeper in the world last year... still find an excuse to moan and criticise the club...

But he didn't grow up being a full back did he. The handball rule is a lottery. Just smash crosses and shots in and you have a small chance it strikes a defender's arm. It's instinct at small distances to protect yourself. It's an involuntary response that is difficult to overcome. To overcome it, you have to hold your arms down consciously. That's learned defensive behaviour.

It’s the new, new. Slag City off at every chance, 15 months after lining Deansgate and 2 years after celebrating a feat out noisy neighbours achieved 25 years ago.
