Contract expiring in 2 years, certainly possible he could want a move away next summer aged 30 with one year left. It’s my understanding that our window closing means we can’t register players, so whilst Saudi clubs can sign players from us at a later date, the reverse doesn’t apply.

They have just come in and taken Newcastle, Palace and to a lesser extent Bournemouths best players. On top of signing probably the most promising players in world football in Wirtz.Think you need to take your tin foil hat off mate. Liverpool spending their own money in a transfer window is hardly some greater conspiracy for them to be a chosen club. Needs a little self awareness when as a club we have spent very well to be where we are. As everyone club should be able to by the way.
All the while Newcastle aren’t allowed to spend their money and were under investigation and in all but name being stopped from spending ours.
Think you probably need to wake up to it more than anything.

The 115 was hanging over us in the winter when we signed so many players and was still there when we signed so many before the shambles in America. The clear out might not be over now until 2027, and until then we are probably going to continue to pay the price for our poor planning.Think “115” hanging over us probably hampered us more than we thought it would. Whilst I am confident of a good outcome maybe the top tier of player who had a number of options like Wirtz felt joining us was a risk they needn’t take at this point in time. Maybe this summer can be about the squad and next summer be about getting the clear out finished and then adding a sprinkling of top quality ready to go players.

As for the under 26s sure. Decent bunch. Haaland and Foden have proven so far to be at a higher level. There's no goalie, I'm taking Donna over Marmadashvili, and Konate is off to Real Madrid.
Szobo is quality, no denying. Wirtz too. We've still got higher quality and greater depth.

Love how the title initially meant we were blowing every one out of the water with our spend . Then come the end of the window we are the most frugal club in the top 4.
The club want to be praised in the media for spending the least and winning the most.
We won the most but have been praised the least.
The strategy has worked wonders the last 6 years but its bit us on the arse now as we've bought mediocre players.
Next summer the club should just pay what it takes and get the very best.

Tbh mate I read Doku and marmoush. Might have mixed up a couple of different posts.
All makes a bit more sense now!
Nevertheless I'm taking our young core over Liverpools.
