Offer him and Akanji to Palace for Guehi. And there it is.
Why didn't anyone at the club think of that?
Obviously it's the wages issue that would be a problem.
This is why it's hard for the bigger Clubs to offload who they no longer need.

It’s not a question of the ones I want or don’t want. It’s just a fact that we don’t have any RBs.
Nunes isn’t a RB. He wasn’t signed as RB and didn’t play RB for Wolves. Pep keeps playing him at RB and for some reason thinks he’s good at it…
Lewis has played various positions including RB and failed to prove that he is an adequate RB. In fact he’s proved the opposite…that he’s not a RB.
Anyone who can’t see this is just delusional, sorry.
I just cannot believe that there were no suitable RB options this summer. Surely to fuck there must have been someone somewhere on the planet that was available and better than the two we’ve got!

A beanstalk grew out of the magic beans. I’m not sure where this analogy is going though. It was Peps magic beans moment.
Yes RWB in a back 5 is more attacking but you can still call him a defender, he's still a natural wide player at least, Rico is a natural midfielder and it doesn't matter how many games he's played at RB, he offers next to nothing there.Frimpong plays years as a RWB in a back 5 = defender
Rico lewis plays years an inverting full back in a back 4 = not a defender
Fair enough.

Well the inverted thing is another problem but fair enough. You can call the bloke who's repeatedly played at RB for nearly all his career so far a defender too though, even if you don't rate him.
Yeah he's a natural midfielder playing an inverted role, Frimpong couldn't invert.
Rico isn't a wing back sure, but despite all the statements in this thread he can be thought of as a defender as that's where he tends to play.
Nunes - isn't a defender yet, clearly Pep wants to make him one.
The stupid thing is that Frimpong and Couto have been through our academy. Porro at Spurs played for us too; along with Kyle Walker at Burnley who looked fine on Saturday. And we’re stuck with Nunes who I thought did a reasonable job last season but clearly needed to be replaced.

Doesn't that leave us an even bigger problem at RB though, who'd play there?Offer him and Akanji to Palace for Guehi.

3 at the back ;-)Doesn't that leave us an even bigger problem at RB though, who'd play there?
That deal never made any sense. Out of every player we’ve signed him and Grealish are the only ones to get the longest contracts.he couldnt get rid of Phillips. 150K per week to be wired to him then. Kalvin is laughing imo.
and still contracted until summer 2028?
thank you Txiki
They run so much and everyone can do extraordinary things.Watching Liverpool v Arsenal yesterday I could not fail to notice how both sides looked far more physically imposing than our team earlier whilst maintaining a high level of quality.
In that case, Joelinton will always be a centre forward. It’s not a question of the ones I want or don’t want. It’s just a fact that we don’t have any RBs.

I'm far more concerned about Pep right now, not to mention what is the true nature of the relationship between our manager and our new DoF. Since when did Pep stop caring about a vigorous press and recovery after disposession? Or is he simply befuddled about all that? If he's being sabotaged by poor play/lack of effort by his players, what exactly is Hugo doing in the transfer market? In what world can you be pleased in us not signing a RB?
We don’t currently have one. What other team in the PL doesn’t have even one RB?
