What happened to Ortega. He looked great as a no2 and I assume now he can't even get on the bench.
Bert Krautmann?I daren`t think what horrible names etc he would have been subjected to ?
I think when Donna makes his 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th excellent saves he will be a Pep keeper in fact Pep will be keeping him for the next 6 years boom boom. Having 2 top keepers is never a bad thing & James Trafford is also a top keeper. I can't be bothered thinking about next season....till next season.Donna is less of a Pep keeper than Trafford.
That's just facts.. so it'll be interesting whatever happens.
Would not surprise me if one of them left next season.
It’d be The Housemartins rather than the Beautiful South, surely?Sounds like the title of a Beautiful South album
Agree. It’d be The Housemartins rather than the Beautiful South, surely?
Much more miserable looking than Ederson, exactly what I’m excited about…I get the feeling this lad is a leader.
Someone bollocking the defence might up their game.
Yes, but he just wants to moan about Donnarumma some more. As if he has not done it enough the last two weeks.I think when Donna makes his 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th excellent saves he will be a Pep keeper in fact Pep will be keeping him for the next 6 years boom boom. Been thinking the same myself, buying players for the future, as well as keepers who don't fit in with the Pep way of playing, plus a new coaching team. It just seems a bit off. What a weird transfer window.
You just get the sense this whole weird rebuild is happening with a view to Pep leaving next summer rather than in two years.
But would not a new manager want his own personnel choices in place as coaches? I suppose someone could be waiting in the wings and he green lighted the new staff.Been thinking the same myself, buying players for the future, as well as keepers who don't fit in with the Pep way of playing, plus a new coaching team. Wait and see fellow blue. Maybe their is a bigger plan we don't yet know about. The great thing about being a fan is that we get to see the results of the work done behind the scenes. I feel we are going to see a brand new set up in the next few months. The Wolves game was a glimpse into the future but we had a blip this last week or so. As Pep says the season starts now. Up the blues...keep the faith. It’s just my opinion and fair if you disagree, but I don’t get this signing. He is poor on the ball and whilst amazing in the champions last season, I don’t think he’s been that great overall for PSG.
We are going to have to change the way we play to accommodate him. This signing also prevents Trafford from becoming our first choice keeper - if Ederson had stayed he would be second choice, but with a pathway to becoming first choice. I think developing Trafford is worth it, as I think he could have been our keeper for the next ten years - can’t see that ever happening now.
I hope donnarumma does work out, but I just don’t think this was a necessary signing.
And he's not alone and not just about Donna. They're all out at the moment.Yes, but he just wants to moan about Donnarumma some more. As if he has not done it enough the last two weeks.
No. I have done my fair share at times. Haven't we all? However, now it's time to sit back and "support" and "respect" the incoming players just as some went on and on about how people should do it for the outgoing players. And he's not alone and not just about Donna. They're all out at the moment.
