Resurrection of the theory all goalies are mad nutcases. The role has become infested by boring farts for over a generation I was brought up on the likes of Budgie Grobelar the flying pig our own Harry Dowd zoff Sprake etc etc then just like the 53 bus along came Eddie and Martinez
 
A club legend, the instant impact he had after the season with Claudio Bravo where the media said Peps football won't work in England. It worked because of Ederson, plenty have tried to emulate him but can't come close to his range of passing.
Will never forget his heroics against Inter, I think it's the right time to move on, he deserved a proper send off though, not leaving in a cloud of abuse from plastic foreign "fans" on social media. I hope that was pointed out to him.

Good luck Eddie - a bona fide legend in the hearts of every blue. Also a Prem legend who redefined goalkeeping and without a doubt won the Champions League for us.
 
Brilliant goalkeeper never seen the likes before and probably never will, always will remember the goal like clearance against the scousers so cool. Thank you Eddie for your contribution to making City into the best team the PL has ever seen.
 
Colossal clean sheet record to go with the monumental passing range. Superb on crosses. And at 32 coming into the peak years for a GK unlike outfield players that at 32 tend to be on the slide or about to. Without a doubt, Eddie belongs in that group of City immortals.
 
Thank you, Eddie! Fantastic servant for us and we wouldn't have won all those trophies without you in net as an integral part of the team! Hopefully you will return to the Etihad one day so we can show our appreciation! Those whacky but brilliant clearances :-)
