PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Typical balls up by the Premier League. Why not just try us on the ten most serious charges. If they are found to be true then the punishment would not be that much more for the others and if they were bollocks then the chances are the rest would be as well. Could have been over months ago.
Not at all, its was designed to have maximum impact in the media to tarnish City's reputation which will, regardless of being found not to be guilty, it will last for a generation

It was over in December, its not ours or the premier leagues fault that the independent panel cant write the judgement as quickly as you would like.

@slbsn not City related but in regards to psr, how have Liverpool been able to spend this much in one window. They posted pre tax losses in their previous accounts of £57 million and haven’t actually posted profits since their 2022 accounts. They have increased match day revenue and they have a new deal kicking in from Addidas. Is it the minority stake Dynasty Equity purchased back in 2023 that has enabled them to clear debt and improve cash flow thats enabled them to be so active this summer?
There’s still quite a bit left from the Coutinho money

I think team found out with 20 minutes to go against Brighton and threw towel in
It really felt like that in the stadium but I’m sure the players are in their own bubble, I think this whole saga has been a burden for the club and when we win it could galvanise everyone for the second half of this season.

Just turn on Sky Sports News mate, they’ve had rolling news for several days now explaining, nay justifying, how Liverpool have been able to spend all this money this summer….you know, like they repeatedly did with us every summer…
Have they wheeled out big nose Thompson to tell us Liverpool have 'done things da right way', by any chance?

Hearing ended in January.
Result expected in February.
Result expected in April.
Rumours result was imminent in June.
We're now September.

What justifiable reason is there for it to have taken this long?!
It will drag on for year whatever the verdict

Much to everyone's annoyance my view remains sooner the better for City. So yes I am more concerned the longer it goes but we don't know for sure what is happening. One of the three could be very busy on a trial or another matter. Someone might be ill. Or whatever. So it is not definitive.
Have some of the issues in the APT case complicated things? I know it’s a separate case but some of the broader issues which came up in APT around the obstructive behaviour of some PL officials may overlap.

Hopefully
Revenge on the corrupt Directors at AFC and LFC would be a powerful motivator for Pep. He has endured horrific pressure as City Manager, almost losing his marriage. This witch-hunt has been despicable. Khaldoon will also be determined to settle some scores. Us fans can also play a big part. We need to stop moaning and get behind the team.

2 goalkeepers, I've lost count of how many CB's and a LB. Which bit concerns you most?
Probably that Donna aside we have bought lesser names, with potential over proven quality for the here and now. People linking it to 115 could say we are signing potential and lesser names with a fear of not knowing our fate and possible punishments. I don't think that though, but it could be their angle

KDB was shite and unknown. Sane- Who? Ederson, Dias, Akanji. All are NOW well known imo. I might be wrong but City are star makers not star buyers

KDB had just won player of the year in Germany playing for a side who wasn't Bayern. Did you work in the press at that time? We also added the likes of Walker, Mahrez, Stones etc. The best players from Prem clubs to ensure we had prem proven quality. You don't have to overly argue the point because I don't believe it myself. It was a counter argument for anyone linking our window to 115.

During buying them players we had a strong squad of the likes of Aguero, Yaya, Silva, Kompany etc. It is ok buying some unknowns with potential if your spine and squad is strong. I don't believe ours is now at the moment but we will see.

I think I read somewhere that a 10 week hearing can easily take 18 months to write up and check before it’s published. We’re nearing half that.
Could be another year.
Could be another month.
Could be today.

Both points are true. We have bought well but also have improved a lot of players. The current squad is not there yet but we do have some potentially great talent. Bobb could go either way for example. Potentially a top star but may fade like so many youngsters.

I’m not sure it’s right to bring up his marriage in this context, to be fair.

I accept that. But the point that I am making is that Pep has coped with enormous pressure on and off the field during the last two years. Last year he had major surgery on his back as well. He will be fully in the loop with the legal battle with Khaldoon. Pep is a remarkable leader and we have been privileged to have him as the Manager of our club.

The mental toll has been massive when you think of the fans and everyone involved.

Didn't pep actually lose his marriage though? Are they together again?
