100% agree.Haven't even read the media mate, for me it's a strange transfer. Someone at the club must know we need a right back and I am assuming Trafford didn't come back juat to be someone's number 2 for 6 years.
?Why are you writing it as if he’s gonna read it and be upset.
I watched a game a while back, he was in net, can't remember who it was against, but wow, he was unbeatable that night. This guys special. I think a lot have already been brainwashed by the City hating media thinking every keeper needs to be Eddie and there's a lot of apathy towards him. I seen a few stats recently that put him very high with the top world class goalies with his feet, so he can't be that bad surely? We're never going to get another Eddie, its just not happening, the guy was a freak of nature. But what this guy will do a lot better than Eddie is command his area on crosses etc and save unsavable shots. Maybe Pep will start to change his style of play in time who knows? But what we have here is a GRADE A WORLD CLASS KEEPER and probably the World's no1 too. And his Mrs is fit as fuck :)
100% agree.
Trafford fits our system - very capable on the ball and an excellent shot stopper. He fits our system.
But now we've signed Donnarumma who is average on the ball, and is, on his day, the best or second best at stopping goals.
Haaland and Nunes aren't bad are they? Haaland probably a bit marmite - the Tilda Swinton of football. With Donnarumma, Haaland and nunes we’re slowly Turing into a team of munters. Rags still have that rat Fernandes so he top trumps all of our lot so we’re good for now.
Turns out Pep wanted him back in 2017 before they brought Ederson in. He loves him, and back then he felt that he could be trained to improve his play on the ball. There's obviously not been a huge amount of progression in that in the ensuing years, but Pep's feeling is still that he's a world class goalkeeper who can improve all aspects of his game.
This is much more of a Pep signing than I had originally anticipated it to be.!

Trafford was probably given the nod in talks that Ederson was expecting to leave, but I doubt that that he would have expected a keeper of the stature of Donnarumma to sign ...... this keeper is a big name, and a big game player, and a major stumbling block to Traffords progress here, and he'll immediately take precedence for the keepers position.Trafford will have known the score when he signed.
Nicely and simply put.Great signing. 26 years old at his peak . Ed was magnificent at his peak but as with all players time moves on . Definitely a signalling of the end of the golden era and the start of new era in the history of Manchester City Football Club .
But what has signing Donnarumma got to do with signing a right back?Haven't even read the media mate, for me it's a strange transfer. Someone at the club must know we need a right back and I am assuming Trafford didn't come back juat to be someone's number 2 for 6 years.
People used to say they had a mental advantage with Schmeichel in goal. I feel the same with Donnarumma. Imagine lining up next to him in the tunnel?
I really hope that game is his debut.
And you've no clue.Don’t fall for the media bullshit.
Donnarumma has been number 1 for teams that have won the Champions league and European Championships.
You don’t play in goal at that level and if you’re not at a high level in most attributes.
But what has signing Donnarumma got to do with signing a right back?
It’s not like the other positions in a team where rotation is expected and injuries occur more frequently, we’ve signed probably the worlds best goalkeeper who is only 26 on big wages, Trafford doesn’t stand a chance.
You can be delighted with the signing, as I am, and concurrently have some empathy for Trafford as the situation is blatantly not the one he was sold.
Don’t know what’s wrong with some of you lot honestly.
We've bought him to raise the standard. A winner who's not going to take any of this flaky, half-arsed shit we've been serving up for the last year and a half. I hope he upsets a few in the dressing room if it's necessary.
