There's going to be 'some plans' for the land isn't there?Councils who would rather allow a building to rot than allow someone to do them up and use them, the verbiage from these bunch of clowns proves what absolute arseholes they are.
Public servant doesn't even register with them.

People that say we FOC ‘had it easy’. Easy mortgage, easy jobs etc. I was born in 1949 in Hulme. No inside bog or bathroom, no central heating, no local playground. When it was pulled down in 58 we moved upmarket to Moss Side, indoor bog and bathroom here but still no central heating. Left school without a single qualification (earned all mine - including my degree whilst working as well). Got a job but no cars in those days, bike or bus. Joined up, 23 years in the army as a mechanic working all the hours god sent (lost count of the days we worked all night), got a good pension at the end but f..king hell we worked for it. Became a teacher another real ‘easy’ job if you’ve never done it. Yeh, a real easy life living through mortgage rates into double figures, travelling back and forth every weekend, working until 9 o’clock at night to get lessons planned and work marked. I think I have earned my retirement, thank you very much. Now they talk about taking more of my pension pot because I have too much.
Rant over.

I'll stay on my own

My Dad’s saying was “look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves”. Yes we had a chippy tea, every now and then but they were a lot cheaper in comparison in those days. It's incredible how much money you can save by just not being a greedy ,grabby , needy arsehole.

Bah humbug......They’ve got the Christmas aisle in Tesco already.
its about a tenner at our local chippie for Fish and Chips - and no, people round our way SK6 do not opt for chicken and chips. I base this simply on the tiny number of chicken portions (2 max) above the fryers compared to the stacks of battered fish. There's far more jumbo sausages and pies than chicken too.In 1970 a quid was worth £19.77.
Fish and chips were 25p
So about a fiver in todays money.
People opt for the chicken and chips now.

Advent calendars have been on the shelves in our Morrison's for the last fortnight, alongside the Halloween costumes, obviously.
I'm off to buy some Easter eggs later.
