England v Andorra - Sat 6th Sept '25, 17:00 | World Cup Qualifier

Honestly asked a question about folk not being happy about another drab game to which he replied ........" they never are "
Ok Lee should we all fook and sit and put up with decades of boring dross ?????
Ok for you your getting good money to sit there posh hotels 1st class travelwhile some poor bastard will have forked out decent money for this crap
I don't disagree with you pal, and I picked up on that snide Dixon comment as well.

But anyone who pays good money to watch England these days must know how shit it's going to be?

He doesn’t get hyped playing for England

RM yes, not England
He's been hyped in everything he's done since he was about 14, he gets ridiculous PR, best thing england ever created (at the expense of others), has to be the star, and very rarely is the star, but he often finds the winning moment.

He's actually quite a snide footballer, he often doesn't work hard enough (for any team he plays for), he's the epitomy of "hype" for me.

Can't agree with that, mate. The lad has been made into something he isn't.

No wonder he acts the ****. He just doesn't seem a team player to me. And he isn't good enough to be that kind of luxury.

It's not a secret that they went for Pep. Pretty much every journalist close to the England camp has said as much.

It's why it took so long for Tuchel to be appointed in my opinion because Pep decided to renew and I think The FA were happy for Carsley to have the job until this summer just gone when Peps contract initially ran out.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit that the next manager will either be Pep or they will hand it to Carsley and keep it in house.
Eddie Howe

He is no where near Gazza in his prime.

Just wondered how the atmosphere sounded on tv.I went in the Holt end expecting a good one. Just like most other games away from Wembley last couple of years Forrest,Newcastle Old Trafford and now Villa the cockneys leave at half time having got there ticket through the turnstile and getting there cap.The crowd was given as 39000 probably 15000 at full time. Its no different at Wembley though to be honest unless its the Euros.

I don’t disagree he is a twat but plenty have pointed that out ffs when he is involved with England. Plenty.

Judging by the comments both here and in the media, the fact that I didn't watch the game means I didn't miss anything. And if this is the case the question I have to ask is why.

Why have the England team become a bland, insipid shadow of the the England teams from way back? What has happened to the sense of pride and determination players used to have when putting on the shirt? Where is the famed bulldog spirit that was the backbone of the '66 winning side, or the '70's team in Mexico that went so close?

I am hearing Rashford once again proved he has no business rubbing shoulders with professional footballers, and yet he's one of the first names on the sheet. I suppose Pickford (if he played) was once again hoofing the ball into the stratosphere from every clearance, and screaming at his defenders if he has to do anything to justify his wages.
And the mouth-breather extraordinaire probably spent most of the time just outside of the opponent's penalty area, hands on hips, patiently waiting for his teammates to do the work for him just so that he can grab another tap-in (or something even more predictable...another penalty against sub-standard opposition).

I've blocked that Hammers fan who comes on here a lot so I don't interact with him, but I pity those of you that do. Because I daresay he'll be telling you all how un-patriotic you are for not foaming at the mouth and collapsing into the fiery throes of hysteria whenever Rashford has the ball, or chastising you for not accepting that France, Germany, Spain etc will be quivering with fear at the prospect of coming face to face with an England team whose idea of progress is to find different ways to pass the ball either sideways or backwards.

Is it really the manager or are the players simply not good enough?

They are so bloody boring to watch, no wonder Villa Park was emptying long before the final whistle.
What does being boring have to do with fans leaving early?
The Centurions, the domestic treble winners, the PL-FAC-CL treble winners and the four-in-row team all played out games with fans streaming away and only 80 minutes on the clock.

I heard Stuart Pearce says afterwards saying the only thing that matters is getting the result. What about entertaining the fans who have paid good money. Pearce also said the main thing about going to Serbia is "not to get beat." His moronic comments sum up the pathetic state of international football.
Also sums up his approach to managing us, seems 20 years later (yes that long ago!!!) he's not changed his though process.

Watched around 2 minutes then thought ' Escape to the Country' more exciting to watch.

How well did bellend play ? I guess Rashford showed his world class skills against this pub team. I dont know who played to be honest.

But an own goal and a headed goal by the defensive midfielder. What the fuck were the attacking players doing ?

Good news non of our lads wasted energy playing.
