Starmer condemns Israeli strike​

Keir Starmer has condemned Israel's strike on Doha.

He says it violates Qatar's sovereignty and risks further escalation in the region.

A spokesperson said he had no prior knowledge of the strike.

They said his meeting with the Israeli president tomorrow will go ahead, where he will raise the issue of the "intolerable situation" in Gaza.

"We've been clear Israel must take action to end [the] horrific scenes."

I personally believe we had no involvement, the plane in question has been based in Qatar for the past 3 days why would we refuel Israeli jets and then land back in Qatar and pretend all is good?

I don't believe a single word that comes out of that man's mouth. Also, if he condemns it, I assume the Israeli PM will be told to do one, and he'll sanction Israel. None of those things will happen.

Not just the US in their corner, the scary part is our involvement an RAF plane circling overhead in Doha, puts us in the frame for revenge attacks by Palestinians or any rogue nation.

The government have the audacity to send emergency signals to our phones incase of attack, rather than attempting to stop Israel from killing thousands of people and forcibly making the remainder homeless, they put us in the firing line.

Fully agree.

No reason why Israeli aircraft would need refuelling anyway. Assuming they used F15s like they did with Iran, the maximum range is around 3000 miles. A round trip to Qatar is about 2000. The Israelis also use the US flying boom method of refuelling whereas the UK uses the hose and drogue method so the aircraft wouldn’t be compatible anyway.

Seems like some people’s disdain for our own government makes them believe any conspiracy that puts our government in a bad light.

as it stands tonight Starmer is looking like a head master writing a stern letter to the parents of a kid that fatally stabbed three other pupils today - threatening detention but falling short of exclusion
