Serbia v England - Tues 9th Sept '25, 19:45 | World Cup Qualifier

Brilliant stuff.
Well played England.
Such a class bunch of young players coming through also.
5 qualification wins without conceding, first time ever. Looking good.

Well for once regarding England I agree with you lol. I know you've defended Bellingham but we looked better without him. Sometimes a manager stumbles on a system, or another player comes through and it clicks. Morgan had a great game.

Rogers should have played himself into the first XI now with that performance.

Bellingham should be the option box crashing substitute if we are chasing a game.

That's how I see it. Bellingham is more about Bellingham than the team. We simply function better without him. As you say he is capable of a bit of magic to win a game and now that's the role I see for him in the squad.

We would have played just aswell with Bellingham - he’s a great player and works tirelessly for the team- some personally hate him so give him little credit.

He didn’t play v Andorra and we was apparently awful - no one questioned him not playing then.

He's not a great player

Depends how great is defined, his impact at Dortmund and Madrid has been huge, he’s broke records, won trophies and many accolades including Ballon d’or Kopa Trophy, the first Englishman to do so and is only 22. I do think he can add more to his game, learn to control his temperament at times and sustain this level for years to come for him to be considered a true great. It’s in his hands.

England last night were far more disciplined and creative as a team without BillyBigBollocks usual me me me performance.

To be fair, he didn't play vs Andorra either and England were turd.

I don't mind him being in the team or squad. I just dont think he's some great player. He's pretty good, no real outstanding qualities other than a knack for coming up with a goal when needed, which is definitely useful.

He's a Scott McTominay level player and still dining out on a purple patch 3 months into his Madrid career

We are better without Bellingham because we pass to team mates. Strange, eh?
I hope Tuchel spots his selfishness and leaves him out.

With our without bellend that's the first England game for a long time where we looked hungry for more goals at 2-0 up, a proper team performance for 90 minutes for a change.

Tuchel seems the most likely England manager in my lifetime to have the balls to pick the team that he wants to rather than pander to the powers that be. I truly hope he makes Bellingham work his way back into the starting line up rather than change what we saw last night. It could be the best lesson Bellingham could learn.

He views every game he plays as it being all about him rather than the team. He's been put on a pedestal since he was a kid. Always the star man and that shows in his performances, he wants to do it all himself for personal glory. He wants to be Roy of the Rovers.

Well played? they beat a team ranked 32nd, based on last season final table positions its Chelsea playing Sheffield Wednesday

England group (current standing) world ranking
England 4
Albania 68
Serbia 32
Latvia 137
Andorra 174

The whole thing is a farce
A manager should be eligible to play for a country which Tuchel isn't we can't even pronounce his name correctly

we played well and won 5-0 away against a good team with a bunch of youngsters and a debutant, why be miserable.

We're 4th?

That's incredible in itself, how shit are all the others?

A good team, I would bet most league one teams would given them a game Watched the first half it was wank typical international football so good it was only one goal from open play
Im "miserable" because it's interrupting real football, we have to suffer this farce two more times this year so that FIFA can make some money. The groups are utter ridiculous pairing no hopers with established international countries, there was no way that England wouldn't qualify same for other groups. I find it staggering that people pay to watch this rubbish

I actually like Bellingham but I think we are more of a team without him. Without doubt he is a “me” player. Perhaps now, after this performance and result, Tuchel will consider his midfield without putting him in from the start?

I'm not sure we really noticed how crap international actually football is back when we were watching the same or even worse level of quality most weeks ourselves.

What is it (the other) baldy sings ? "if I hadn't seen such riches I could live with being poor'.

Absolutely, the direction is clearly towards the corner of the pitch NOT the goal..
He's not going to carry on running that way though is he? First touch with his left foot to turn inside a bit, small touch with right foot to get it out of his feet and then he's having a clear shot at goal from inside the box, though slightly to the left of goal. Definitely a goal scoring opportunity, I don't think it needs to be a guaranteed goal to qualify.
