Charlie Kirk shot dead at Utah university

Could understand the bone splintering, but metal travelling at that speed, not so much.

I don't know which rifle/ ammo was used but I'm going off the assumption it's a AR15 with a 5.56.

A 5.56 cartridge hits with an intense amount of force.. It pierces its way in but then it creates a shockwave which acts like a freight train punching organs/ bones. Then it starts to tumble so the exit wound will be much bigger than the entry wound. The only way splintering happens is if it hits something hard like a bone and that splinters or it's a hollowpoint bullet which itself splinters into little daggers doing even more damage.

But a 5.56 is generally survivable if aid is rendered immediately and it doesn't hit a critical area as it was designed to actually injure not kill so targets will have to stop fighting and take care of their wounded.

Well that was the original thinking anyways till the US realized opposing fighters don't give a crap about their fighters wellbeing and they just keep fighting.

So now they went with the 277 Fury instead. Anything from that is basically unsurvivable.

We used to use 7.62 in my early RAF days... I wouldn't want to be hit with either but if I had to I'd rather take my chances with a 5.56 from an SA80 / A2 before the 7.62 SLR round

No one’s sure yet. All the people who were “sure” before have disappeared from the thread.
He did apparently have an inscription on one of the unused bullets saying ‘"Hey fascist! Catch!" (Read that in the bbc)

Definitely points towards something political.

Separately it seems like a large number of people don’t understand what facism actually is. The same people want to shut down all debate and other view points, consistently use the term

From what he put on the bullets, I’d say he’s definitely a gamer, whether he was political too will come out. That he did what he did suggests so though.

Donated over $200 to Donald Trumps campaign. Definitely Lefty.

Im so skeptical of Trump, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was something they made up

Donating $200 to a trump campaign doesn’t necessarily make you conservative either though.

Having “hey facist catch” on the bullets used to execute a conservative definitely suggest some kind of political motivation. Would you not agree?

At this moment, given what he wrote on the other bullets, I think it’s more likely he got that from Farcry.

All speculation though, it’ll come out soon enough.

Typically, I find the use of woke, snowflake, lefty and radical attempt to smear and shut down debate.
In fact, Kirk was one of several who wanted to shut alternative views down in leading universities.
None of which excuses his slaying, of course.
