I’d say 3 is potentially engaged.

The most striking thing is that none of the 20 limbs there involves the express use of a firearm, whereas in this jurisdiction it’s a hugely aggravating feature.

You're right, I didn't listen to his second instalment which was a much more considered. Patel's execrable fawning remarks coloured my response in that post and it was unfair on Cox. Good to read Trump didn't support his candidacy last time out although Cox did endorse him unlike in 2014.
 
Nobody, at this time, knows what the motivation was. It could have been anything; political, online radicalisation of some description, a perceived and imagined "slight, a desire to be famous/infamous.....absolutely anything.
Doesn't detract from the fact that a young man is dead, whilst trying to engage in debate, horribly murdered in front of his parents, wife and 2 very young children.

Perhaps I have you at a disadvantage, as I’ve been familiar with Kirk for some time. He could have profited from a reasonable educational background in different ways than he has profited from his bigoted ignorance. It might have also exposed him to a wider variety of inputs and opinions than MAGA Bros.

I judge people on what they show me. I have detailed that in this instance, much to your displeasure. For that, I can make no apology.

“Debate,” you say? He was a blowhard with a megaphone spouting lies, misinformation and platitudes, much of it racist.

It’s like saying “Hitler was a great speaker!” while hating the speech! Their views had much in common.

That isn't the same display as when I looked earlier.

Timestamps on the edits say it was changed 3 times in the 40 minutes afterwards.

I’m going to get pelters for this from some quarters, but I’ve got very broad shoulders.

Have had a look at this guy online in a way that I hadn’t previously. I sort of knew what he was about before this, but he’d hardly registered.

And for the avoidance of doubt, I’m not saying it’s a good thing he’s dead, or that anyone deserves to die in that way, especially with their wife and kids there. Awful business all round. And this tragedy is acting as a further catalyst to the manifest and worsening divisions in US society. So unquestionably a bad thing.

But in my view, having seen him in action, he was a horrible ****. Plainly fed from negativity. Most of what came out of his mouth was designed to make the world a less happy place. And I’d say he was definitely a bully.

He was young, fit, rich, healthy with a beautiful family and a wife that adored him.

And all the **** did was moan and winge about how shit everything was. He had fuck all to complain about from where I’m standing.

Unless it was just an act…
 
So it turns out it wasn't a radical left lunatic, 2nd ammendment hating muslim but actually a young white Christian with no clear political affiliations as of yet, and from what appears to be a family with no issues with gun ownership. It's a good job nobody jumped to conclusions, in particular the Trump supporters who are always quite measured in their response tbf and glad it didn't cause any unnecessary division between people as nobody would gain from that would they

Lastly, what makes you think I’m hurting about Charlie Kirk no longer being around to spread his hate? Ironically, it’s the MAGA MENTALS who are skittering around, tripping over themselves, to anoint this racist rube with sainthood, statues, flags at half mast, etc, etc, etc.

The guy said you have to accept people are going to die if you want to protect 2A. I can only thank him for both the observation, with which I sadly have to agree, and for his live demonstration in making his point.

You won't get pelters from me mate. You're right, he was a horrible ****. Did he deserve to die? Absolutely not. Should his death alter your opinion of him? Absolutely not.

It would be a brave judge (assuming they were the arbiter, it might be the jury in Utah) who didn’t make that finding after a conviction.

Presumably this has to be a State trial?

It's this that I keep coming back to when I think about what's happened. And you can bet your life that families affected by school shootings will have heard him say this.
