Fantasy Premier League - 2025/26 | Official BlueMoon League + Cup

Haven't even looked at the site since the Brighton game. But I think it's Wildcard time. RAN and Cherki both injured, Saliba rated as a 75% chance of playing. Toying with the idea of doing the unthinkable; shifting Salah on. It'd free a lot of cash, but they've got Burnley, Everton and Palace in their next three games. He could well be in for a few points in those games. Also looking at changing Gunn and Beto off the bench, in preparation for a potential BB (not this week though; I think!)
I'm on a WC, I've got Salah and Ekitike, but in GW6 I'll sell both for Haaland, and a midfielder, not sure who yet but I will have enough funds left for whoever I want. Ekitike should be good for the next 2 games while Isak gets up to speed and it saves me a headache of which forward to sell when bringing Haaland in.

I've shook things up somewhat (not a penny left in bank now!)....

Just toying with the idea of bringing in Muniz off the bench for Dewsbury Hall. They've both got easy-ish fixtures (Muniz possibly the easier).

Ekitike is okay if you're happy transferring him out in a couple of weeks when Isak is match fit. I have him, Pedro and Mateta for now but like I said I'll be selling for Haaland in GW6, and will possibly try and bring Gyokeres in as well round about GW7/8. I've got Eze, no idea if it's a good pick or not as we've not seen much of him at arsenal yet but I'm expecting him to play on the left of a front 3.

Salah, Ekitike and Dubravka are the only 3 players I have out of your 15.

For now, Ekitike is a temporary measure. It has to be said, though; he's hit the ground running. Will Isak have the same immediate impact? Who knows? I guess when they've spent that much on a player, he's hardly likely to be sitting on the bench. If I wanted to do that switch now, I'd have to find 1.7m from somewhere. Salah out for someone a bit cheaper? Like a Gakpo, Eze, MGW or Semenyo, possibly. I'm just very reluctant to move Salah on. If there's such a thing as a guarantee of points, he's it. I'll hold fire for now, anyway

Who to have as captain this week? Salah is my normal go to guy, and they're playing Burnley. So you'd imagine that he'd be good for a goal or two, and maybe an assist. But the lanky guy has (IIRC) an okay record against "TWGC"™.

My WC team.
I was traveling back yesterday, so I initially missed this before the deadline, but uncanny how close our back line is with 4/5 being the same. In the end, I made 9/15 changes while on WC, which was a good use of the chip for me.

I see you kept Ekitike. I went with Gyokeres instead, and I'm sure I'll be punished for never having Salah this season, but I stuck with our guy Haaland. If Reijnders plays the 10 tomorrow with the recent unfortunate injuries, I like my chances on my two City impact players.

I also got to enjoy a couple of pints at Mary D's this past week and got to see the back room where the DJ plays from, a very nice setup for City fans. Hoping for a big game tomorrow for City in addition to my FPL point implications. ;-)

I see cheers.. But they get 4 players for Liverpool playing until they do? Unlikely Isak will play this week however
This person had Isak when he was with Newcastle.

The next transfer they HAVE to make is to take off a Liverpool player, no matter what other move they wish to make. The game won't allow another transfer before that happens.

Correct, and this has been in place in prior seasons too.

Similar treatment for anyone with 3 players from these teams already with the added introduction of Grealish (Everton), Guiu (back to Chelsea from on-loan Sunderland), and Eze (Arsenal) if they had any of those such combinations.

Really like your WC team Kev, it's very solid, and a good start so far :) onwards and upwards. Glad you had a good trip, back to sunnier climes now.

I guess we were both looking for the same profile of defenders, good chances of clean sheets, a set piece threat, and good for defcon.

I lost 0.1 on Ekitike sold him for Gyokeres, had a late change of mind and brought him back in. It's just for the next two fixtures, otherwise I wouldn't know who to sell for Haaland in GW6 with a front 3 of Gyokeres, Pedro and Mateta. Gyokeres is definitely on my radar though, probably in GW7 which gives me a bit more thinking time. I've purposely left an arsenal slot open.

Up to 33 pts as of now, from 6 players. And 2 bonus points for Van Der Ven. Not too bad, when you consider that only 4 pts have come from "non defenders".

And 8 pts on the bench.
:-(
