Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

We changed almost the whole squad, backroom staff. Pep is coming to agenda of the change. Sooner or later.

What we didn’t change is the style of play. It’s still those 4 players behind the striker which made BeforeBarcaGundogan score a lot of goals.

It’s the same today. We are trying to play new players in that system. No wing-backs going forward. No crosses for Haaland. Slow predictable build-up and Pep who keeps confronting the press with strong argument all the titles he won and why should he change something after winning everything.

There are some processes that just need to be done in order make people understand and realize the reality. Let’s just get through those processes. Can’t do much more.

foden instead of imo the overrated little blond lad , and rodri over any midfielder arsenal player today, dont know the team arsenal put out , didnt watch the game .

as for Donnarumma, hes not an unknown, there aren't many better keepers in world football
LNobbins strongly disagrees

Jonathan Wilson is a renowned City hater so I wouldnt put much credence on the article and there is one thing I am actually genuinely excited about this season and I would hate everything in football if this doesnt work out.

The revival of Pep Guardiola : In his own words several times Pep insists football has changed. Has constantly sang praises about Howe's Newcastle and Iraola's Bournemouth ( They have a distinct style and both are very good managers) and with the change in the personnel in the team as well as in the backroom staff - I expect the greatest manager of time to pull something out of the hat.

Let's establish once again why he is the GOAT and with City are still the best when he is at the helm. I am willing to come 3rd or 4th again this season if we improve on our current performances.
Pep's teams are great to watch, have a great defence and a dynamic play style. We are none of that at the moment and hopefully the derby is a start of something special!

The same bullshitters who wrote that his tactics would never work in English football are the same who now speak of the end of his tactical supremacy. They are not serious observers of the game, but agent-provocateurs who provide the clicks their employers seek.

You have to give them time, you just can't dismiss them. Cherki is 22 and has played one and a bit games for City. City fans need a bit of patience with the new players you just can't wright them off already.
I’m not writing them off as I think they will cone good but atm they are along way off the finished article .

Covers all bases: if Pep fails, he called it. If Pep succeeds, he wrote Pep is pragmatic and evolves.

A common mistake is to overgeneralise on the basis of few games: in this case, Spurs and Brighton. Last season was a different team, and it did well to win 40 pts in the last 19 games, given the circumstances.

I think we'll have other bad results, even if we win today by several goals. It's the nature of the beast called rebuilding, plus several injuries, plus a key player coming back from a bad injury and not being at his best yet. Quick replacements of legends are desirable but hard to happen in practice.

Probably not the world's biggest surprise and obviously nothing confirmed but been told there a people within the club expecting this to be his last season.

The team is changing. He will find a way to sort it. Big earl interview very telling. The process of change is underway. Donna in nets is another step.
