I'm very surprised at how ready some on here are to dismiss the Champions of Italy.

Whilst I'm feeling pretty upbeat about our chances tomorrow night, this lot will give anybody a game. Forget about player-for-player comparisons when talking about Italian teams - as a unit, which they definitely are under Conte, they'll be a lot more than just the sum of their parts.

Confident, sure, but any talk of 'kill the game off early and prepare for Arsenal' makes you wonder whether we've all been watching the same City in 2025?

Random but do the players still leave after the game from the underground tunnel?

RAN
Cherki
Marmoush
Kovacic

All out. So 4 injured which is about average.

Everyone else is training including Stones and Phillips though the latter is not named in our CL squad so cannot play…what a weird situation for him….he’s basically the guy that puts the cones out and fetches the ball when it goes over the fence!

For 150k a week, I’d fetch anything from over the fence, I’d throw the cones over just to look busy.

Why the fuck are we playing on a Thursday ??? Thought that was exclusively reserved for rubbish teams who didn’t really deserve to be in Europe and played in various joke competitions

100% agree.

Napoli could quite easily batter us if we have this "save everything for Arsenal" mentality.

Conte is one of the best coaches in the game. Bar Spurs, he has won a league title everywhere he has gone.

Think we might get beat tbh. We've basically beat Wolves twice as United are that shit they are at that level.

The 2 half decent sides we've come across have beaten us, and Napoli are no mugs. I also think Pep rotates with Sunday in mind as we could get slapped at Arsenal the way we are playing and where we are as a team these days.

Hopefully Haaland pots a couple, our keeper plays well and home advantage plays a part but I'm sceptical. What was funny on Sunday was that we won despite being rather average as United are that bad - Napoli are a confident side, have won all their games so far and will present the sort of test we've already failed twice with this season.

Will be an interesting game but I'd have low expectations if I'm being honest about where we are as a squad/team these days. Hopefully City play up and I'll be completely wrong but I've little confidence in us these days against decent sides.

agree ,beating Man united didn´t give me much confidence either going against Napoli and Arsenal ,didn´t have much control over that game and these teams will not concede that easily.

At a loss as to why anyone would think we would take tomorrow lightly ahead of Arse on Sunday, just never going to happen. We need the home wins in the Chumps, that’s a fact. We’ve not got the easiest of draws and a few tough aways.

Pep will go as strong as is possible, it’ll be Hudds away when we rotate.

Nunes might slot back in to right back to guarantee Khusanovs fitness for the weekend, and Ake to left back.

Reijnders and Rodri again.
