That £150bn investment has fuck all to do with Trump but it has everything to do with reducing the tax paid by the big IT companies. Dirty money basically

All investment is dirty money as they don’t do it out of kindness, they want something in return. Either more money or influence, it’s always been the same.

We don’t need to sell out to these investments, but we do need a jump start to keep us going. Following the sell off of our industry and manufacturing to the likes of China, Singapore and India, we have very little left apart from the service/support sector, and we need to find a way to make it work.

I think given the US tech world has a significant number of leading figures with strong libertarian bents and they've been indirectly pushing their agenda globally for many years its reasonable to have that concern.

The UK isn't operating from a position of strength at the moment and our politicians will need to be on it to avoid us getting rinsed. I'm not confident tbh.

Epstein is really the only hope of taking down Trump as many republicans are not letting that go, if Trump can get through that then he has free reign.

You could have irrefutable proof that he was at it with Epstein, and I'm convinced the majority of his support base would find a way to excuse it (or blame it on the left).

When if Trump 2nd term ends on time, then that’ll be 12 years of him.

The scary thing is that we are only in month 9 of 2nd term , still another 39 months…

We’ve already got media control, xenophobic policies, almost a reichstag type moment (Kirk), anti-everything that isn’t MAGA, gestapo ICE snatching people off streets, academia attacked and academics looking to leave, science belittled and thrown out for cult pseudoscience, free speech eroded - unless it’s MAGA speech, incitement of the workers to have grievances against everything but reality, labelling anyone just left of extreme right a communist/socialist , cuddling up to Soviet Russian and Israeli genocidal dictator to divide up other nations lands, supporting any nation that has similar extreme fascistic tendencies…

It’s all a grandfather generation throwback shitshow :-(
