  • They're unabashed, committed socialists
  • They hate Jews
The only problem there at the moment seems to be who hates them more.

Is Zarah suggesting that she set it up?

It was always going to go wrong between her and Corbyn. There was conflict over the launch. She then criticises Corbyn for capitulating over anti-semitism. Next she made an explicit statement about being an "anti-zionist", pointedly because the Corbyn team are apparently zionists (they seem to be more for two states, rather than ending Israel). Next up she's making it clear social conservatism isn't acceptable, kicking off a row over trans/women's rights.

Clearly he's the big name in this project, so she was taking a huge risk in trying to lead the agenda, and it looks to have backfired.

Nope. Looks like the kind of incompetence that would make a gcse politics student blush.

It's amateur hour for them. To be honest the sooner this rabble fall apart the better. They are a gift to the increasingly ugly right wing.
 
I feel she is a somewhat unskilled and impulsive politician. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it her who made the announcement and Corbyn didn't confirm he was on board for a couple of days? I got the impression he was bounced into something which at that stage he was mulling over.

Today with this membership thing it looks like she has done it again and gone off half cocked. Depending on who owns the Party name anybody ready for the launch of Ur Party of the Party 4 U?

I don't see a grift - I think people who definitely want power (although I suspect Corbyn would be happy without actual power).

The party has been "launched" into a vacuum, and has become all things to all people. Too many people with their version of what a "pure" left wing party is, and this is just the tip of the iceberg of disagreements. It's why half the people involved in the Corbyn project are already in different micro-parties, and they should have been aware of the possibility before announcing.

Not sure how Sultana and Corbyn get over this, and I think she'll be the one pushed aside.
