Jesus we are at home look at our match winning options compared to theirs. Conte will have them well drilled yes but we won't play into there hands and flood forward with every man leaving us susceptible to the counter. And let's be honest non of kdb mctominay or hojlund are of blistering pace?
I Like your optimism but let's see.

Why is it on Thursday? Have we been demoted to the Conference League without me noticing?

This took me by surprise too, but for those of us who work Monday to Friday, Thursday evening might be the best timing wise for a few pints and the football. Looking forward to it and seeing King Kev!

Im reacting to four titles in a row and a third place finish in one of our worst seasons in a decade, i would say thats a fairly big sample size compared to two bad results
I can certainly understand your argument, but it isn't just two bad results, is it?
We can go back to before Christmas since we've had any sort of winning habit.

Also the 4-in-a-row is a superb achievement, and a source of genuine pride (as well as a huge 'UP YOURS!' to the red side of town) nevertheless, considering that it includes results from 3-4 years ago, it's questionable whether it carries any weight in terms of being a pointer to where City are right now, surely?

Just my opinion, trying to keep balanced

Really ? Fucking hell how does that work ?
A few of the massively supported teams in Europe in places like Naples and Paris have numerous hooligan groups who don’t get on with each other. Their supports are gigantic.

Sometimes it stems from disputes within the same firm where splinter firms form, sometimes with different firms wanting to takeover a part of the stadium that another firm occupies, sometimes linked to opposing street gangs outside football, to different political ideologies. Sometimes the rivalries go back decades.

Paris Saint Germain have loads of different ultras and hooligan firms, many of which don’t get on with each other.

It’s a completely different thing to Alan and Dave supporting a club in England jumping around like an idiot towards opposing fans.

I used to read about this stuff in the 90s and early 00s. Quite the thing what the Ultras get to do.

Looking forward to tonight. I think we're too far off competing in the league this season, but with a bit of luck and a good draw you just never know in the CL. I'd expect us to be in a strong position in the new year, just got to qualify first.

I don't think Napoli are that mobile so they don't provide a threat I'm as concerned by. Think it's safe to assume they'll play on the counter and we'll see whether we can keep them quiet or impose ourselves a bit more.

If Foden plays as he did on the weekend we win.

City 3-1 Napoli

Aye PSG have both right and left wing factions

Seem to remember there being a lot of trouble between rival PSG factions on the concourse in the away end when they came to The Etihad in 2008.

Just watching the u19s game (1-0 up at he mo) and I hope the game tonight doesn’t have the same kits.
They are in white, so not much contrast between them and us. I speak as an old fart obviously.

fucking napoli brings back shit memories
fcuk em come on city

I would’ve thought a fairly big percentage of blues aren’t au fait with the ever changing minutiae of CL rules and regulations. It’s probably why the crowd is largely made up of half and half clowns, tourists and away fans on CL nights
On games like these it’s a fucking good job we have the tourists otherwise the ground is half empty
