Madueke has been excellent this season and Saka has been injured. Timber doubles up with Madueke so they will attack on them front.

What also seems clear is they will get Calafiori to ping it long to Gyokeres who will drift left against Khusanov so that will be an interesting battle. I've not seen much of Khusanov but if he's not strong and quick that may be an issue.

City's forward line looks proper tasty which is why Saliba is back. And Merino is in the middle to add some muscle - I'd have liked to see us play Eze at 8 but it seems Arteta wants to put a physical shield there.

Subs might be key in this game.
Are you going to join the Matchday Forum? If Arsenal score then it would be interesting to see how long you last before @jimharri is forced to thread ban you.

Arteta showing his cards there. Keep it tight and look to change things late on.

Whilst it gives me more confidence we can beat them, we have faded in games so far so will need the lads on the bench to do a lot today.

A free hit for us though. Hoping it's not as dull as they usually make things. We owe them a beating and I'm sure we are bang up for dishing one out.

Just reading the arsenal forum. Their fans are fuming with the team and basically lamenting the fact arteta has gone with such a defensive team.

I’m confident now we can get a result
Pragmatic really. We are dangerous in the last third, but can be got at defensively.

For Arsenal-City games I tend to give it a miss as it gets a bit heated! Particularly once the inevitable refereeing aberration happens.

Don't rate Madueke or Trossard at all. I've been worried about Eze all week, delighted to see him on the bench he always scores against us! If Arteta thinks we're going to sit on the halfway line and let them play direct to the pace on the flanks and Gyokeres he's got another thing coming. (At least I hope he has, never know with Pep lately!)

I guarantee you Arteta is more afraid of Pep than Pep is of him

Honestly our fans are the biggest fanny wipes on the planet. It's why I go on a City forum instead of hanging around with fellow Gooners.

While you're here has something gone on with that young lad Nwaneri off the pitch, looked a great prospect but doesn't seem to be getting much of a look in lately and their were rumours you were open to selling him in the Summer!

So you are saying that you don’t rate him and will gladly celebrate “told you “ moment if he leaks some goals today?
Nope, I hope he does really well, i like him ..... I'm hoping for a favourable result for City, but this is likely to be a much greater test than he's faced between 'our sticks' so far, and it can be a noisy atmosphere in that ground if things are going well for Arsenal ..... it's also a ground where we aren't likely to get the benefit of the 50/50 decisions ...... our defenders need to stand together, and hold firm in order and protect him as much as possible, especially at corner and free kicks kicks ..... this is sure to be a very difficult game for us, Arsenal's results have got them where they are in the table and we have to respect that, but it doesn't mean that we can't go there, play well, and spring a shock.

Yeah I agree. He's still 18 and has to get in front of Odegaard or Saka. He has come on in games for 30 mins or so.

Same with Lewis-Skelly - he was 'the best left back ever' last season but now is a sub, probably 3rd choice behind Calafiori and Hincapie.

Youngsters can lack consistency so there is that.

The two things I’d describe Khusanov as above all else, are, strong and quick… very quick!
