Both teams have been ineffective in possession apart from the way we took our goal and Madueke’s general play.

We’ve actually not looked comfortable on the ball at times which is strange for us. But we have been very good defensively and took our chance to score.

We started to look tired in the last ten minutes of the half and we have looked tired at the end of games this season so I can see a pile on by Arsenal late on, so another goal could be crucial.

Maybe a couple of years ago, but not for the last 12 months

I'm not sure I can mentally take another 45 minutes playing like that... but three points is the most important thing and for all their possession Gigi hasn't had that much to do.

Bernardo is a bit like having a fan on the pitch, however I do worry he might cross the line at some point. Might be worth putting Phil in the middle and bringing Bobb onto the right.

Most un-City like. Low possession, a couple of fast transitions and a mean and hungry look. Did well and might even have been 2-0 up.

Nevertheless, creaking a little now and Pep needs to tweak it before we concede.

We may not go onto win this, but I've seen enough character in that half to know we aren't going to be a pushover this season

Great to see some big tackles from the defence, and O Reilly and Khusanov standing up to the task

Would be nice to get a bit more out of the midfield though, as were just getting played through, Reijnders not really doing anything off the ball

Be nice to get a counter attack early in the 2nd half
