Terrific game, mixtures of really hardworking and really intelligent play (just a shame Savinho couldn’t match it when he came on), he’s really stepped it up over the last 3 games, long may it continue
Yes, consistency is vital and only time will tell us if he can be maintain, and hopefully improve on, this level but the signs of development are encouraging.Nest 2 games are Burnley and Brentford - he’s got to deliver and build on his performances. He’s had a great week but City players don’t have ‘great weeks’ they do the business every week, every month and every year
No one spoke about Silva, KDB etc having a ‘good week’. The job is to do it on a consistent basis
Imo that Liverpool match last season when he ragdolled Trent over and over he was better than any one of the three last matches. But it goes to show what difference it makes if you put him more centrally in a more direct setup. I think being more often central he doesn't need to run so much, which helps with his stamina issue - he doesn't have to cover as much ground as on the wing, and this actually helps him win defensive duels by using that fantastic strength and low gravity balance.Had his best 3 games in a city shirt and all 3 of them in a row. I've criticised him before this season and 3 swallows do not a summer make but if he continues in this form and I will gladly be proved wrong.
Of course he’s fucking quick enough. Fullbacks don’t get near him. Just easier to stick 2/3 on him when he’s wide. He has no problem skinning a fullback to get to the byline. It’s just his left foot crossing is hardly SaneIt’s his best week as a City player. I don’t like him on the wing, he’s not quick enough. But get him close to the box and he clearly makes things happen
We might not be winning the league material but we are looking good and looks like we are going to be good fun to watch
We just need a few better players on the bench and we’ll run away with it next season
The shot was on all day. Only thing he probably got wrong was not going with his left again like against Napoli. The key moment 2nd half should have been his brilliant play to put Erling in. Now that was when the pass was very much on.Good all-round performance, but at his very key moment in the box he’s got to do better…
Second half he gets past a couple of their players and puts in a bobbins effort at goal from an angle he was very unlikely to score from, through lack of patience in taking stock of the situation.
BSilva was in good space to be passed to and Doku made the wrong choice.
Other than that he was a great outlet to get us up the pitch throughout the game. He drew fouls well, caused them problems… but that key moment is the difference between being a good player and a very good player.

And Erling should have squared it to Phil for a tap in. That would have won us the game I believe. The shot was on all day. I don't think it was Doku, who brought him on.Doku is an excellent player but why bring on Aka, he can't defend
Who?Doku is an excellent player but why bring on Aka, he can't defend
No, because Haaland gets it right in the box 8 out of every 10 times.Haaland had a similar key moment (shooting instead of passing the ball to Foden), but you wouldn't call it the difference between a good player and a very good player.
Also, all players on the pitch are very good, that's why they play for Arsenal and City. Maybe you meant the difference between a very good and great player, and even then I wouldn't agree with you, because one moment doesn't define a player. Doku was outstanding, certainly one of the best players on the pitch. Apart from alleviating the pressure multiple times, he created that chance for Haaland from literally nothing (starting from our own box), which is the mark of a top player.
yes it has. But his decision making in the last three games has been a big step up. Lets enjoy that for now.No, because Haaland gets it right in the box 8 out of every 10 times.
Doku’s output in the box has been average in his career so far.
Who said I wasn’t enjoying it? How about let people express opinions and don’t tells us what to feel.yes it has. But his decision making in the last three games has been a big step up. Lets enjoy that for now.
wow touchy. I simply suggested we enjoyed his recent performances. Sorry for the offence.Who said I wasn’t enjoying it? How about let people express opinions and don’t tells us what to feel.
Pulco the other one.but why bring on Aka, he can't defend
