It's the exact opposite no? Winning because your team did was Vini Jr's argument.

Rodri is the best in the world in his position and was when he won it, Dembele isn't the best striker in the world or the best winger in the world.

Anyway doesn't really matter, we all have personal opinions on who we prefer, Yamal for me is comfortably the most talented.
 
Expected Donnarumma to win best goalkeeper, she’s an idiot isn’t she? well deserved.

I know we were poor last season but Haaalnd getting 26th is shocking. He was still very good regardless of us winning nothing.

Cole Palmer 8th and Erling 26th they really are having a laugh with these rankings.

Its that time of year when I get irritated that the world of football goes on about this stupid fucking prize.

Decided by football writers who know shag all. Fine they can do that. Its all the validation of it by clubs and national federations. And all the twatty internet fans argghh.

Which happened to be in December. A full 5 months of players achievements and efforts rendered nul and void after that. If only they all knew that if they played well in a tournament it could cement the award.

Agree, when did this actually become a seemingly important thing? I dont really remember it getting more than a passing mention 5/10 years ago. Now it has a huge ceremony, a build up lasting a week and huge media coverage.

Scott McTomeny was 16th I think. That is even worse.
