ID cards.

There’s going to be a lot of tedious bollocks about this isn’t there?

I have a photo drivers licence, passport, Apple Pay with credit, debit cards and store cards on my phone and watch and barely use cash. Digital ID wallets and cards are coming in Europe and yes, it is for citizen convenience and also a means of monitoring and tracking, which given most people carry a phone, use cards to pay for stuff and are captured by CCTV both public and private it is probably a bit late to start moaning about Govt surveillance.

And given all the folk moaning will be the same ones moaning about who we let into the country and allow to ‘disappear’, well make your fucking minds up because the whining when we don’t do something and then the whining when we do actually do something is getting on my tits.

This is going to be a wall to wall shitfest of hot garbage in the media, so I’m bowing out and leaving you all to it :)

Me too, as people's opinions are so fixed it's impossible to debate and pointless really, the fight isn't on Bluemoon.

On the subject of immigration it won't prevent one person coming into the country.

No, that's once more your opinion.

How can that be my opinion? Icke has wrote books and done lectures to the tin foil hat brigade about the the things I posted and he has stated them as FACT! Not opinion but as fact.

My opinion is that he's batshit crazy and he's fallen so far the conspiracy theory rabbit hole that he'll say absolutely anything to keep himself relevant

I'm not debating the subject it's utterly pointless. He warned governments wanted to fetch in digital id over thirty years ago, along with numerous other predictions which came to fruition. All anybody remembers are the lizard stories.

can't imagine why

He believes what he wrote, his opinion, you don't, your opinion.
This isn't about Icke though, the point I was making is he predicted digital id was the end goal for governments decades ago and here we are.
I feared it would degenerate into an Icke debate when we really should be resisting the roll.out of digital id.

Plenty of mates have warned me over the years that digital ID is on the way and it will completely change how we do our normal day to day stuff. I’ve always laughed at them thinking they were mental. Perhaps they still are, but I’m not really keen on the idea of a digital ID card.

It is weird though, the right oppose it because they think they will be forced to. have vaccines and used to. measure your green energy lelvels like a class system and othe batshit things

The left think it is a civil libities infringement and way of socially tracking people and survelence society.

Both sidies don't want it but for completely different reason

Strange that, since you posted an article linked to him.

The article linked to him was him mentioning digital id and nothing else. I knew the usual."Tinfoil hat" shouters would use it to scream about reptiles etcetera. I'm done going around in circles talking about his past.

Hypothetically, if authorities ask for digital id and a person cannot provide it is that a good or bad thing?
Is it worthwhile to verify a person's right to live peacefully in a Country or is it an unnecessary violation of that person's right to anonomity?

There is no fight to be had. There will be Digital ID wallets at some point. We live in an increasingly digital age - smart phones, smart houses, smart cars, on-line shopping, increasing use of AI etc.

People are going to lose their shit over this with cries of ‘what about the old people’, but the world isn’t being refashioned for old people, it’s for younger generations who already live and operate in this digital age.

The old world is dead. Welcome to this Brave New World. You’d better like it because it’s the only one on offer and everyone else is jumping on board.

ID cards will be the precursor to digital id and then everybody will be fucked. On a whim they can just turn off your whole life unless you comply with whatever the state demands. You won't be able to buy even a pint of milk as your credit card will be frozen and cash will no longer be accepted. You can't even use cash now inside the Etihad and countless other places. Lockdowns will be easier to impose as they will just ensure your id and credit cards won't work outside the exclusion zone. Easy peasy. We are sleepwalking into a dystopian nightmare. This bloke gets hammered but almost everything he has ever predicted has happened.

Haha David Icke

Fucking hell. This place is mental sometimes

I would say both sides have already lost their respective arguments. I have a digital health passport that has my vaccine records, my mum (88) has a smart meter and a monitor which allows her to and the company to monitor energy usage in real time. We carry phones and watches which are tracking devices, I use Apple Pay for pretty much everything which effectively tracks my movements. CCTV cameras are everywhere and can be linked with facial recognition software and so on. Everything I watch online is recorded and fed into algorithms.

Both sides are tugging at the stable door with the horses already over the horizon.

To be fair, if you hadn’t followed it up with he’s been proven correct on 99% of what he said and then confuse fact and opinion, it might not have done!
