Was trying to convince a red, decent bloke by all accounts, that it goes far deeper than folk realise. There is no way that the 7 or 8 managers and all the players they've had in last 12 or so years since fergie have all been naturally shite, it's almost an impossible coincidence. There are strange happenings afoot in the concrete corridors......and long may it jolly well continue

Won't change as long as the pisscan is there. Same thing happened when Busby left.

Sorry mate on current form and by that I mean last 18 months I see only wolves and maybe West Ham worse than them currently
Obviously things could change as we’re only in September but it can change both ways
West Ham new manager bounce, that fucker at wolves on borrowed time so could be a bounce there aswell, blue tints off the four teams you mention look better than the rags when I’ve watched em. The scum are fucking useless nobody fears them anymore infact they raise their game against em.
I’ve not seen a single improvement from the rags in the last two seasons despite the money spent and I see nothing that tells me they’ll improve. The latest front three have already sunk to the United curse, their defence is in tatters with shaw McGuire and dalot still at the heart of a defence that’s leaks goals for fun.
Just can’t see where the fuck they go from here maybe waistcoat will bring a bit of stability, I see potters being mentioned
The fuckers done fuckall since he left Brighton and then there’s xavi who’s another die hard Utd fan who’s been mentioned.
He’s in for a fucking shock if he end up there.
If last season is replicated it’ll only take one of the bottom 3 going on a decent run and the scum will be in trouble.
This United team is as bad as the one which went down in 74. Not saying they will go down but they will be in a scrap.

United are a gravy train. They get so much coverage that just being in the team gets you into the England squad. Just being the manager earns you millions for getting sacked. But from the board room, through to the executives, and down to the staff members, they all know it's a gravy train coming off the rails.

Iv seen businesses go that way and the only way out iv seen is for a total collapse and then build from there.

Or a miracle manager.

I dont disagree they haven't improved but to actually go down they would have to have regressed substantially to be under any threat at all. I think too many are looking at position only, seeing them near the bottom and thinking its not out of the question for them to drop a few more places, but when you look at the points, it kind of is.

They finished closer in points to us last season than bottom despite being 15th. 17 points above relegation, down there, that is a chasm. If last season was replicated, they wouldn't just need 1 of the bottom 3 to have a decent run. They'd need one of the bottom 3 to practically double their tally and everybody else around them to do better, that just isn't likely.

Those that actually think its possible should lump on now and make an absolute fortune as the betting odds have them rank outsiders for something that a few here seem very confident in the possibility. They can pay for the party if the miracle did happen
I wouldn't disagree with you but I think your under estimating their decline.
Perhaps. I dont watch them to be honest. I think they've stood still after spending £200m which is a form of decline but not in points terms. I expect united to be hitting the 40-50 points range, high 30's if its especially bad. They've had probably the second toughest start and have 7 points from 6 games, even maintaining that rate, they're looking at 44-45 points which will see them stay up by a wide margin. For me, the issue is more there isn't enough teams down there good enough to better their tally and put them in the reckoning for the 3 worst teams

They need a premier league proven manager not someone who done a job abroad. They need to forget about becoming a top 4 club again over night. They need to improve season by season not regress further every season. They need to stop dreaming of another Ferguson. They need to forget about the 'Next Pep'. They need a manager who goes back to basics who doesn't have some rigid system to stick to. They need to stop trying spending insane sums on players who have had one good season. They need top sacking managers midway through the season except in the case of Amornowin who should have been sacked weeks ago. Thank fuck no one at swamp seems to realise any of this.
Honestly, I don't believe that they need to do any of those things. They're doing just fine, their lives are wonderful.

This is in a season where there were 3 crap promoted teams. This season they aren't any. They are in massive trouble

You are correct that ‘United are a gravy train’ but not in the way you mean: they are ‘a gravy train’ for the media. Guaranteed max coverage for anything rags. More clicks, more from advertisers when showing rags on TV, I could go on but you get the idea. Loads of media people making loads of money from the rags and hence you will find them constantly being referenced.

they need to park the bus get solid base and move forward from their but their own arrogance wont allow it shown again this transfer window buying forwards while leaking like a sieve

relegation fodder no

It is incredible how little self awareness football players have isnt it, if i was captain birdseye or ratboy i wouldnt have the gall to speak on any other manager, in fact i wouldnt even use the manager in my vocabulary after the appalling stints those two have put in.
Birmingham are now recovering, he's set Plymouth back years, totally inept.

The leaks / reports that Ratcliffe is talking to Southgate are just what they need
It's a win win situation.
They keep interim they are fucked.
They get Southgate they are equally fucked.
But leaks like that doesn't help anyone.

Good suffer you bunch of entitled cunts.
And then suffer more.
Don't go out of business .
I'm not sure I want them to even go down.
This where they are now is perfect..every summer they buy a load of has beens or never will be
The media especially that shower of shit slysports big them up.
The half wits believe the goods time are coming again
Then by end of September they realise it's the same again.
The only times that's coming for them is the normal for them.
Mid table.
Average cup side.
Rag bastards

My favourite part of the season. They normally have a performance early doors like Arsenal this season that gets them giddy again. Followed by a defeat they make excuses for because ‘new signings need time to bed in’ or someat similar. By the end of Sept they know the reality that they’re in for another season of absolute shite.
