Rooney is spouting the 'This is Man United' schtick so beloved of any ex-Rag tinged with the same entitlement that characterises so much of the Rag shite emanating from the RDAHMeedya.
Exactly!

It's about time these ex-players, pundits and media hacks accept that the rags are exactly where they deserve to be.

Nobody in their right mind would expect Wolves, West Ham or Sunderland to be vying for top four.

Just because the rags are a world famous football club doesn't translate to them being a successful football club.

The two are not exclusive. The rags will always have a global following, which will create a long-term revenue stream for them.

However, as a competitive sporting franchise they're pretty much finished.

Ironically, the final nail in their on-field coffin was missing out completely on European football, while still having access to £200,000,000.00 in the summer transfer window.

The reality is the shareholders and executive board members know that the money will continue to keep rolling in whether the rags finish first sixth or seventeenth in the league.

Of course, they (scruffy Jim et al) will do their usual hand wringing and publicly demand to see progress from the team. However, privately they'll be more than happy with the significant income coming in.

Playing good football and being successful on the pitch is the least of their concerns. The name of the club, the brand and the money it generates is their main focus.

Thank goodness we've got owners who want success both on and off the pitch.

We should never, ever stoop to their level.

That banner was a total disgrace, and more so because it was sanctioned by that cesspit of a club.

The most effective torment you can bestow on anyone of their fans is to completely ignore them.

They hate it.

They despise being ignored.

They find it a total head fuck to be confronted with their irrelevance.

Imagine how much they're already being made to suffer, because the media are talking about the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal vying for the title while they're vying with Wolves to avoid relegation.

It's like that famous saying in showbiz: "The only thing worse than being spoken about is not being spoken about"
Christ seen a couple of replies to this and can’t believe anyone took it seriously. I mean, really? A banner counting their games?! I need to add smiley emojis

ruben amorim walks into a bank to cash a cheque. As he approaches the cashier he says, "Good morning, Ms could you please cash this cheque for me?"

Cashier:"It would be my pleasure. Could you please show me your ID?"

ruben amorim: "Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. I am ruben amorim, manager of man united”.

Cashier: "Yes, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of impostors and forgers and requirements of the legislation, etc., I must insist on seeing ID."

ruben amorim: Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am."

Cashier: "I am sorry, Mr amorim but these are the bank rules and I must follow them."

ruben amorim:"Come on please, I am urging you, please cash this cheque."

Cashier: "Look sir, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Tiger Woods came into the bank without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his cheque."

"Another time, Andre Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out his tennis racket and made a fabulous shot where the tennis ball landed in my cup. With that shot we cashed his cheque. So, sir, what can you do to prove that it is you and only you?"

ruben stands there thinking and thinking and finally says, "Honestly, my mind is a total blank...there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I don't have a clue."

Cashier: "Will that be large or small notes , Mr amorim?”

'Soul gone' from Man Utd - Rooney has 'no faith' in Amorim - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c147m6jlz50o

Fucking hell. When "Wazza"™ is criticising you, you've got problems.
It's a terrific insight really - check out these well thought out verses;

'But Rooney added that some current players "don't deserve to wear the shirt", the side "needs a new engine" and supporters are "waiting for the club to crumble".

"I am not seeing anything which is giving me any confidence, there needs to be big changes in my opinion," said the former England striker, who won five league titles during 13 years at Old Trafford.

"Manager, players, whatever that is. Whatever it takes to get Manchester United back."

Who the fuck listens to Shredded Wheat head!?!

Just a few repeated verses of cliche and not a single offered solution - this from a 'manager' that is recently in the game.

The BBC are actually paying for this level of output - fuck me.............

I have read this before but I don't see the logic.
If they truly thought he was a dead man walking, it'd probably be cheaper and definitely be more effective to simply put him on gardening leave until mid-November and get his replacement in immediately.
Unless, they really are stone broke, of course but, again, there would probably be talk of yet another share sale, if that were the case.
Weren't they looking at sacking Ten Hag last summer, gave him a shit load to spend & then sacked him a couple of months later

That banner of theirs is a very emotive topic and not one to be taken lightly.

I've got a pretty good sense of humour and I certainly developed my gallows humour (a prerequisite for a City fan in the 80s/90s) over the years.

I'm happy to have a laugh with the next man but I will never forget or forgive the rags for that bastard banner.

Let's just put something into perspective.
Rug Head has, according to your post, 'won 5 league titles in 13 years'

Phil Foden has won 6 (six) league titles in 8 years.

Fuck off you fat whale.
