ID cards.

He's also claimed humans are mind controlled by a spaceship hidden behind the moon called the moon-matrix which is piloted by reptilians.
That's mad, everyone knows the signals wouldn't pass through all that cheese to get to earth.

No. They have our addresses, phone numbers, social security number, national insurance numbers, our Internet traffic, cctv footage of us all, drivers details, car we drive, when we buy things, where we go.

The scared populace of this country, the ones who fear crime or immigration, or just don't like people being different, will agree and want the govn having control of us all and everything, just so they can feel safe.

So it will happen, and I feel privileged to have lived during a time when we werent watched and accounted for as much, because its obvious to me over the years we are slipping into being numbers that can be tracked and traced.

Give ANY govn a chance and they will want full control over the population.

Dont listen to the scared of our population. This isnt going to make us all safer, it will make us all watched more. Those people amongst us that would give our freedom away are the ones who need watching.

I'm assuming all of those that are really concerned about giving their information to the authorities won't be travelling to Europe after the 12th October when you'll have to give, not to your own government, but a foreign organisation, your fingerprints, photo for face recognition, where you're staying and proof of a return ticket. Just asking....

Where was it stated the purpose was to make people feel safer?

They literally don't, they're all seperate systems and are completely independent of each other. In fact they don't even know who lives with whom half the time. ID cards help with a hell of a lot of the admin side of things. Expensive censuses won't need to be ran. Projections can easily be computed, budgeting becomes more focused. Just far far better than the current systems.

You assume wrongly.

Some fantastic conspiracy theories on here as to what the government aims are. Some truly mental gymnastics

This yesterday today its on-line medical consultations. Its no fucking wonder that the country is in a state - its the 21st century and the nay sayers and scaremongers want us to remain in the mid 20th century - how's about we give things a go? To modernise and get in line with the rest of the world? Owners of JLR products haven't been able to get spares recently due to an IT hack. Is their answer "torch my can and close the factory down"? Is it hell. Would people waiting 2 weeks for an urgent appointment or prefer to get a same day phone consultation? Ah but phone consultations might not come to the correct conclusions. Are all F2F consultations a roaring success aren't they? No - the NHS pays out about £3bn in compensation following botched procedures.

We will never have enough homes because old Mavis down the road always objects to anything being built within a mile of her home. We will never have driverless cars because they might crash and harm someone whereas those driven by a human never have accidents.

Its progress folks - we used to lead the world in new developments in things like transport etc but a lack of will is making us an also ran.

Why do you guys want our govn to have your details on an I'd card? I mean if you are not bothered then don't bother. Why do you want it?
because it gives you the ability to forecast population, divert money to where it's is actually needed, removes the need for a costly census snapshots, provides robust identification verification, provides less wasted cash with incorrect budget decisions, helps reduce illegal working and reduces fraud.

now, why don't you want it?

fair comment, although blaming Ol' Mavis is a bit strong, when large companies have been sitting on land banks for years...

The info they want is benign, and will be of benefit to track illegal workers
So it's fear of immigrants, illegally working immigrants. You want us all to give over our identity because you think this is a massive problem that will be solved by our govn having all our details.

I do not agree, I think the govn make you see a problem, that only they can fix, by having our identity papers.

I think the govn should fix the root cause, not track us all. But that costs money.
