I think we can batter them if Rodri starts. If he doesn't start, anything is possible, with a narrow win or a draw the most likely outcome.

Football isn't played on paper. Otherwise, Wigan wouldn't have bothered to play against the Centurions. Bookies rightly regard us as favourites but don't treat Monaco as absolute outsiders either. It would be silly to do so.

It's not played on paper? Well no one told me.

Anything can happen in a game of football yes, but I've considered what could happen and I'm saying what I think will happen whether Rodri plays or not. You can be more reserved and cautious in your prediction, but I'm confident we'll win. We're a very good side and have shown in the past couple of weeks we can get results in different ways. We'll win comfortably. Save your bed wetting for Brentford.

Great news about Rodri, relieved it’s nothing serious. Still wouldn’t risk him from the start for this one though. His minutes need to be managed carefully.
Agreed. Given Nico’s performances recently, I’d keep Rodri wrapped in cotton wool until needed. It would be nice if we could get some minutes in Kova’s legs, too, as he is such a good utility man off the bench.

Think the plan has been to play him vs Monaco and Brentford. It would have been pointless to play and risk him against Burnley. Let's see whether he starts tomorrow.

Cherki's looking sharp in that video, seems like he's dropped some weight too - what do you reckon?

To my mind, against Burnley we still looked vulnerable on the counter (despite the final score). I've not watched Monaco recently so I've no idea how good a counter-attacking team they are but I wouldn't take this as a formality.

I think we'll always look more vulnerable without Rodri in the side. We can beat Monaco without him, I'd be wrapping him in cotton wool for Brentford which is a tougher game than tomorrow night's.

It's a difficult 1 as he needs mins to strengthen the leg back up. Sure the physio team will know the risks and advise pep.
