I assume Stones will step into CM and Bernardo will be on the right. Surprised Nunes didn't get the nod at RB after playing well there at the weekend. Otherwise, pretty much as expected.

Only real concern is a lack of pace at the back. Not sure if Monaco have quick forwards or not.

I take it they have no pace upfront as we have none on defence. I dont like shoehorning stones in on the right. Just play him instead of Dias with 1 of lewis/nunes on the right. Also not liking Rodri playing. Just not a neccesary game for him to play in and Nico would have benefitted from an actual run of games. No issues with anything else. Like the forward line. Their right back is in for a busy night, we'll focus our play almost exclusively down the left with that side. We've gone as strong as possible so we have to get the win.

I agree 100% about Rodri. The knee niggles worry me, it goes wrong at this stage we are back to square 1. Give Gonzalez a chance.

That's a strong side, that. Particularly sound at the back. If Johnny's fully fit — and I take it he is — I'd rather have him on the right than either Lewis or Nunes. For his experience and anticipatory reading of the game alone, even if he doesn't have the same pace.

I like that line up, no way is Stonesy playing orthodox right back, not when Nunes and Rico are available.

Looks to me like we are going to flood the midfield.
