He was jabbering like that bloke who’s been on the gear for 48 hours, and is starting to get chest pains, but thinks one more line, if it’s not too fat, won’t do any harm. And then someone brings up politics.

How would you go about achieving that?

My solution to the harm done by Brexit is to rejoin the EU.

Trump has acted primarily by executive order and influencing the agencies. The next president, depending on party, will rescind those orders and redirect or reconstitute the agencies to one extent or another. Some of the damage is longer term, MAGA judges and the like, but corrupt or incompetent presidents are not unusual and the country has always recovered.

Rejoining the EU is not happening before 2028 and improbable in the next decade+. None of the big parties likely to make up the next government support it. It's only an easy fix if you get the opportunity to implement the fix.

You’re aware that every time China builds and artificial island, they then claim the sea around it as being Chinese national waters? You’re aware it’s not just the US this pisses off, but every single one of your near neighbours? Malaysia, Japan, South Korea,Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei and The Philippines are all very unhappy about Chinese expansion is waters far closer to them than mainland China.

As for an inevitable war over Taiwan. Just build your own semi conductor plants leave that nation to determine who rules them. This isn’t the 18th century any more. Also, you’d fucking lose.
