Who in your opinion epitomises "Mr Manchester City?"

You're gonna be lucky if you can find any likely real candidate for that title who actually lives within the city limits, other than Pep or Bernardo of course, and both are foreign/haven't been here all that long ...... most candidates will probably either live, or did live somewihere in Greater Manchester or Cheshire ...... Bernard Halford possibly a decent shout, don't know where he lived though!
Pep famously has never lived in Manchester. His flat location has never been a secret.

Maybe im wrong but i feel by the end of his time at the club, maybe Erl.
At the moment, definitely Tony Book or Vincent Kompany.

Well he may well have a Salford postcode, I'm not sure, but we all know he's only just off Deansgate, as is Bernardo ... i live centrally and have passed both of them in town a few times .... in fact I was only chatting to Bernardo for a few minutes last month outside Mark's and Spencers near the arndale, and I was stood watching as Pep filmed an advert at a clothes shop on Thomas Street only last month.

Mr Alan Ball at the time he was manager typified exactly what Manchester City were.
Unfortunately none of it was positive.

Lol, I best recall Alan Ball for his signing of Martin 'buster' Phillips , and excitedly telling everyone over the GMR airwaves that he had two feet on him!

Has to be this man. What he did for decade after decade out of the limelight.

Someone else, and she's not a man, Anna Connell, look her up. Without her, City wouldn't exist.

Yep, I know exactly who she is, or rather was .... historically the most important figure in our past, although we weren't known as 'Manchester City' at the outset .... Anna would probably have still been around the club in 1894 though, when we finally took our present day club name ... i think she relinquished her association with the club in 1897, to look after her sick father ... born in 1855, she died in 1924.

However it has to be noted though, that City historian, Gary James, firmly disputes this.

Depending on your opinion - in order of my "who is Manchester City now"...
1) Pep;
2) Donna;
3) Haaland;
4) Rodri

Georgi Kinkladze was a favourite of mine, and David Silva, KDB - none of the current squad other than Rodri and maybe PWF

Has to be Mike Summerbee ...... he was already playing for us when I first started going around 1969, and i cannot recall him ever being unhappy here .... he made Manchester his home the day he signed for us back in the mid 1960s, when he used to 'swan' around with Georgie Best.

I used to see these two regularly when I worked in the centre of Manchester, just round the corner from Edwardia the shop they owned. Best being his usual creepy self used to eye any girl who walked past him up and down in a very creepy way but Mike used to just smile.
