She used to be fit .might still be as I. a FOC so watching how she gets said gigs might still stir loins
She is remarkably ill informed, and yeah, it's as if she has today switched off from current affairs or basic general knowledge. I think this is where they are at now. Just eking out an existence with the occasional quiz show or if they are lucky, a reality show.

our public broadcaster generous to a fault as usual - Come On you Brentford Neanderthals!!

We held on to our "slim" lead for 80 minutes.

Is 2-1 or 3-2 a slim lead? If it had been 4-3 then it would have been described as a 7 goal thriller. I only read these articles when they are posted on here. I've no time for all the bollocks spouted about football these days.

I remember Patsy Kensit being on House of Games a few years ago.
She got quite angry, said she didn't know she would be on a show with such difficult questions and that her manager was responsible for putting her on the show.
Dion Dublin was equally thick.
Paul Martin from Flog It is absolutely, completely and utterly stupid, based on his performance on House of Games.

I really think the BBC should start a database of Celebrity Quiz contestants. If you ever watch Richard Osman's House of Games you will know there are certain contestants who are beyond thick eg Patsy Kensit. It's not down to a lack of education but they appear to have switched off from everything in life whether it be TV, Music, Films and the other more demanding subjects like History, Books, Geography etc. Answers such as I don't know here Leeds is or where's Belgium. Anyway last week Jenny Powell graced said programme and she was sadly lacking all week. Probably answered 5 questions on her own all week. Anyway come Saturday night a new Quiz starts hosted by Amanda Holden. Needless to say it's a celeb version(or according to the BBC's interpretation). Guess who's one of the contestants? Yes, Jenny Powell. I did not bother to watch but how does she get such bookings and more importantly why is my licence fee being wasted on such evident thickos
Schadenfreude mate - it’s the main premise of most tv quiz shows.

Nobody enjoys watching a smart arse answer questions that they themselves don’t know the answer to.

Everyone enjoys watching some upbeat, irritatingly bubbly, vaguely familiar idiot floundering as the host asks them a question your average 7 year old could answer correctly

Her mother dated the aga khan and her father was an associate of the krays (known as Jimmy the dip). God father was Reggie Kray. Pretty much blue blood to the Red meat lot.

There's one too many B's in that sentence

Not entirely true.. University Challenge, Only Connect and MasterMind are long running popular programmes which challenge most. I think most of us now know modern celebs are Airheads so it's lost its shock value. The celeb' industry could be killed in months if TV did not sustain them in one form or another. All it does is just confirm the dumbing down of TV and a large section of the public

“Celebrities” are the useful idiots who help TV companies turn a profit. They’re cheap, malleable morons desperate for recognition and TV execs exploit this to make bottom of the barrel budget shows. They’re here to stay sadly.

A letter in the times culture section recently put it very pithily “One’s enjoyment of television can be immeasurably enhanced by avoiding any show with the word celebrity in the title”
