He’s the new Dias, Andy Morrison. A serious person
Yep. He produces world class moments, but also does everything else to an amazing level. If he's making a fairly routine save, you know he's pushing the ball miles away from the goal rather than back into danger. If he's coming to punch, you know the ball is going miles away. He's calmly catching balls that other keepers would only parry. The only weak point is his kicking, and even that is only a weakness compared to Ederson. He's still as good as any other keeper in the league at it.Makes great decisions. Comes for the ball and cleans up a lot of crosses. Not surprising seeing he's the best keeper in the world
First time since Hart left that I still feel confident when a striker runs through. The 1 on 1 was absolutely huge, I know Thiago got it stuck under his feet but his positioning to save the shot the moment he got it out of his feet was immense.
We're just miles better at the back since he signed.
I think last season we'd have feared that 1 on 1 but I think most thought he'd bail us out today which he did.
But you should care about his distribution though.Couldn't care less about his distribution, the players seem to trust him back there and we seem to be solid at the back during set pieces.
Given the apparent shift in the game towards playing for set-pieces, long throws and piling the ball into a crowded box at every available opportunity, Donnarumma is the ideal keeper.
Because they care more about their agendas. We are getting less goals and some people are still not happy. Unbelievable. If his distribution is not ederson level but he saves us wins like yesterday - why would anyone care?
