How would you feel if Mancini went to Chelsea? | Now linked with United (p10) and Forest (p14)

I am sure he would be in contention, but there is no way he would destroy his City legacy.

Italian managers don't tend to care what club they manage.

Some Italian teams fire a manager in September, employ a new guy, sack him, them being back the original one back.

Strange culture in Italy and quite a few have jumped from Inter to AC Milan to Juventus.

What attracts managers to that United job, regardless of how chaotic they are, is that every manager wants to be the one who "saves" them and brings them back.

Never mind Chelsea look at this!

No no no no No!

The actual article in The Sun is a load of nonsense.

There’s not a single quote from anyone, even though it claims Mancini ‘has told friends he believes he could be in with a shout if the Red Devils do make a change’.

And then there’s a vague sentence about Mancini living in the same area of France as Ratcliffe and he’s ‘believed to have met the Ineos magnate at various social functions’… so maybe he’s been at a few of the same restaurants or parties.

Or maybe he hasn’t because it’s all made up since neither Mancini, any of these supposed friends he’s told, Ratcliffe nor anyone else has been quoted about where this information has come from.

He has a free pass for me. Be the story bollocks or not, if he rocks up there then it’s purely because he wants to be employed.

He wiped that smile off Taggart face in Taggart time. He is a City legend and even managing them doesn’t taint that.

It doesn't taint his legacy for me either. I'd rather he didn't go there, as there's a good chance he would make them competitive again.

I don’t see it. It’s another reason why I wouldn’t be arsed. Infact I’d go as far as to say I’d feel sorry for him, because he wouldn’t be able to do anything with that bunch of cunts at that cunty club.

Forever grateful to Mancini for the FA Cup then the league, but my God, when you look at the squad we had at that time he had to win stuff
Pep would have been getting 100 points a season three years on the bounce with that lot
For me that was the best and most talented group of football players we have ever had.

Based on what? Bear in mind you are using this argument to talk about Bobby Manc.

Based on the fact many a manager has interchanged between the top clubs

The biggest derby in Italy, the derby d'italia has seen Conte, Lippi and Trapattoni manage both teams.

Also Pioli most recently managed Inter about 13-14 years ago and then managed AC Milan 10 years later and won the league with them.

Mancini won't turn down the United job. He doesn't view us in the same way we view him.

Italian managers choose what's best for them.

I think it is total clickbait. But I would have little issue with it.

If anything, I think their fans might suffer it as a bigger insult to injury, than ours might mind, given where both clubs are, his legacy and how he was towards them.

But highly doubt it would get anywhere near happening.

Mancini being Italian built his team around a rock of a defender in Sir Vincent.
Just don't see the same results with monsieur Slab

Not a chance he takes that job. Mancini inherited Kompany, Tevez, Hart, Zabaleta & Barry, then added Aguero, Yaya & Silva. He ain't getting anything close to that quality over there

Roberto changed the mentality at the club. Let’s be honest we were losers for 35 years until he arrived.

That’s exactly what Man U need.
