SO--- NicoG is now likely hurt, Rodri and Khus are still out, RAN is still likely not at full fitness, Kova not ready for but maybe 60 minutes, Cherki is still "coming back" and we'll see him in 15 minutes bursts if we're lucky. Bobb perpetually seems to be on the mend and recovering and I thought for sure last game when Stones got brushed up against a few times we'd surely see him carted off or a Medical chopper swooping in.

FFS can we just have a run of games where we have a fully fit squad to choose from?

Years of minimal rest taking their toll.

Liverpool having the same issues.

Foden central is getting better and better, also linking with Haaland, I wouldn't do anything that interupts that progress,
We have struggled against villa away in recent times, they press high, they're vulnerable to transitions, we've shown we are now a side who has that in their locker, shifting one player slightly out of an ideal position to utilise that weapon is a very minor sacrifice. He did it against Arsenal to get us a point, why not at Villa?

I’d take a draw but that will put us 5 points behind Arsenal who will win there next few easier games! I think we capable of winning the league but I see Arsenal so so strong in all departments that we will have to get 90+ points for me to win the league.. feeling is if Arsenal are 6/8 points in front with 8 games left they’ll go on and win it just because the team look lot more mature and they’ve learned a lot over the last 3/4 years
They've definitely learned how to come 2nd :)

My sentiments exactly. I posted similar Tuesday night post match when Nico G got injured and got called out for it by a poster who reckons we don't have an unusually high number of injuries....Like WTAF, I didn't bother responding because I'm not sure what planet the poster has been on this last 7 seasons or so!! We have at the very least one major injury a year ( Gundo, Kev, Aymeric, Gabby, Rodri, Vinny, Sane, Jonny Boy ( every year),Phil, Erling - the list goes on. Indeed we never seem to have an empty physios couch....

I'm just despairing at times, I really am with it all. Surely it's not just bad luck?

Many factors at play

Opposition players routinely being given license to chop away at our players can’t help things.

We should be beating Villa but we all know in football anything can happen like Villa getting beat tonight!

Much changed side, and they took it easy. I am glad they lost tonight but I think Villa (a) could be very difficult.

Our injury situation is not bad at the moment.

Arsenal have the strongest squad and are obviously favourites, but City just need to keep on their tails as much as possible. I think we will get better as the season progresses and once players like Reijnders and Cherki get up to speed we will see a more slick and dynamic team.

Good to see Villa having to chuck on their main men to try and get a result tonight. They've struggled to break teams down this season so it might be one we have to dig in and counter them, we have many strings to our bow so got the ability to win in different ways.

If all else are injured, Kova plays in DM even if for only 60mins. Then chuck Cherki in just for a laugh.

Big game, think this will show us where we really are. They're a similar standard to Spurs who well beat us.

We've improved since then, but a strong win here would make a big statement.

They might 7 changes according to the TV channel I was watching.

The cavalry came on with 15 minutes to go but to no avail.
7 changes but Watkins and Buendia who came in are arguably starters who didn't start at Spurs.

Martinez, Torres, Onana, Buendia, Guessand and Watkins started.
Malen, Kamara, Rogers, Cash and McGinn all played 30 mins.

Only Konsa got a proper rest.
