Match Thread | Aston Villa vs. Manchester City (26/10/25)

I'm not convinced by Savinho still. I'm not sure how he keeps getting starts. He's very wasteful and rarely does anything of note with his final ball. Hopefully he will come good but he seems like a downgrade on previous wide players we have had.

I don't understand the praise for their set piece routine. It was a terrible set piece that resulted in their right back having to take a random potshot on their weak foot being closed down rapidly by 4 players. In what world is that the desired outcome of a set piece? I hate commentary that only deals with the result.

Fuck me City fans don't sing that shite .....

Yeah, midfield miles open now. Not really sure what we can do to change it because of injuries. Might just have to take our annual Villa Park punishment and go again.

We are far too passive - it's taking them 2 passes to break through our entire team - make a tackle please.

Yet to field our strongest 11 this season. Needs to be taken into account.

Tough place Villa.

Started well and should have scored one of those chances.

Typical flow now.

Interesting how we respond.

All this title talk, we don’t seem anywhere near consistent enough.
Good post. Not being able to get a constant 11 really hurts us.
