Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Got to find a way of getting Cherki into the starting 11…..he is the only one with any proper creativity and guile.

Savinho is simply not good enough and at the moment Reijnders is not far behind him.

Despite the totally biased commentary from Hinchcliffe, still think we deserved a draw.

Dress it up anyway you want, that was a shit showing from us. Let's be honest, Villa were bang average and we couldn't muster anything of note. Really disappointed with the whole team, but a couple were dreadful out there.

I can't stress how important it is that we add quality wide options next summer. There were several people on this forum saying they didn't want Rodrygo because we had Bobb and Savinho. Utterly mental analysis. This is why you don't judge football on just stats.
Totally agree mate on everything you've said there.

Players like Rodrygo have that x factor that can win games, Savinho looks like a tricky player but I can't see him ever getting anywhere near to a Real Madrid move. Big players come up with big goals.

The most depressing thing about that was we all new it was game over as soon as they scored.
This current team has no fight, no character to dig themselves out of a hole.
Oh and Savinhio and Bobb are squad players at the very best. But by the time they came off it was far too late. Rijnders needs to get his shit together aswell, flattered to decieve since the first game.

A shameful performance.
A battle for top 4 it is.
Don’t see anyone having the consistency to challenge arsenal.
Fuming.
I’ve seen more fight from a tin of sardines.

Villa was just to good all over the pitch Onana was unbelievable for them! Villa under Emery are made for games against our set up soon as they got that early goal it was always going to be tough! We played better than our last two visits but still go out played.. it’s one of those games that once whistle got blown am over it..

I genuinely don’t think we were that bad today. Thought we were actually better than villa but they defended like mad men and had so many more athletes in that team. Made us look like kids or severely unfit when they countered.

Think Pep got it wrong but I do think we could have won if they obviously just put away chances.

Thought that Cash goal was mad lucky as well.

Don’t really need to say anything more. We’re clearly in transition, some weeks will be good, some weeks will be bad until it clicks. Onwards to the next one.

Not just the wingers, foden absolutely pathetic. That cross right at the end summed the game up. Aimless and to no one. He didn’t even look, just fucking shit from him and the entire team including subs.

That was across the board utterly pathetic.
Cherki was about 5 yards beside him alone as well, if he looked up he could have had an easy dink to him but normally you'd loft those for haaland. Foden legitimately looked like an amateur on multiple occasions today
