City don’t have access to people’s personal details used on here (like email, IP addresses etc), and we certainly wouldn’t provide them with that info either.

Apparently, you don't have to provide anything... all the 'tracking' is done via the email address of the user. Using AI, information can be identified and assimilated from sites contacted in seconds.

There's literally nowhere to hide if you use an email account... if someone really wants to find you, they just need the relevant tech knowledge.

Linking pseudonyms on third party forums and sites to identify individuals and taking action based on it is surely a breach of GDPR, even if people are breaking rules around selling tickets. These aren’t laws, they are just club rules.

I bought two tickets from an online agency for the Wolves game as a present for my son's 18th birthday and mentioned it on the ticketing forum, as I had also put a request out on here.

24 hours later I received an email from the club and they also tried calling me, saying could I give them the seat details and they promised not to cancel the ticket.

I couldn't take that chance after spending £450!

Didn't believe them.

So the club know your identity?

If I'm reading it correctly, Felix isn't a ST holder, he's a member who lives in Normandy who seems to use his brothers ST? Felix however does appear to attend a lot of away games which begs the question of how do people who attend all home games but struggle to get away tickets feel about that? The people who complain about "tourists" may be interested to know that although his father is a Manc, he's not? What's the difference?

I wish I was making it up but I genuinely traveled all the way to birmingham from France just to not get in because I posted a stupid message on this forum. I just want to warn others - believe me or not

But he is quite identifiable...

His name is Felix and his location is Normandy. I can't imagine there are any other Felixs with contact info in France on their account details who bought a villa away ticket.

I seriously doubt the club is, or is able within the ticket office resources, tracking email and IPs associated with the forum. But it wouldn't have taken the club more than a minute to reference any supporters from France who bought a villa away ticket with the name Felix.

Just letting everyone know to watch out what they post on this forum, I swapped my ticket with a blue who was sitting in the lower tier and when he tried to scan in - the ticket wasn't working. And when I tried downloading it to my phone it would say "ticket has been canceled". We went to the ticket office and the rep showed me a screenshot of a message I'd posted on this forum a few days ago saying I was going to use my brother's ticket (which was unrelated). So they must have seen the message looked up supporters called Felix and then canceled the ticket to make me come to the ticket office on the day. The reps were absolutely no help, we ended up trying to convince them we'd swap back which we would have but they still refused to print my ticket off.

But seriously, clubs are cracking down on ticket selling and BM is just as at risk of being a source of info as Facebook and other sites like that.

It won’t be via email addresses or IP addresses just what we write and give away voluntarily in various places on the internet that catches people out.

What im taking away from this is the club take the rules very seriously and more confident than ever that we be cleared of all 115 charges.
