I thought we looked what we were for 30 minutes, which was a group of players who had never played a competitive game together.
After that, we played OK. There were a couple of players who looked rusty
But, that is to be expected after injuries.
No one can have any complaints really. It was a decent run out from a makeshift team.
The squad is looking strong.

Well played City job done...but who the heck organises these schedules for tv and radio...Newcastle v spurs on itv and on the radio, Livarpool on 5 live and talksport...City on 5 live extra 3....but not till Swansea had scored...oh well rant over...thanks to all the blues in the match day thread who gave a running commentary.

Enjoyed that. Good run out and made to work in different ways in either half.
We have some wonderfully technical players whose movement and passing are a joy. Once they’re match fit and on the same wavelength, we’ll have more than one attacking dimension.

Very rusty first half which is entirely understandable given the limited minutes many of the starters have had recently.

Grew into the game and thoroughly dominated. Good game from Cherki and Gonzalez. Ait-Nouri and Khusanov looked extremely rusty and Mukasa had very little impact. Good strike from Marmoush but looked poor on the ball. Everyone else was more or less fine.

Good result, job done and much needed minutes into the legs of many players.
