Reminds me of 20/21 Rodri at the moment. Some people can already see his class, others can't see it yet

He's doing an ok job, when Rodri isn't fit he starts. He needs to improve if he's ever gonna nail down a starting spot though - seems to spend a lot of his game falling about. I think that bit last night where he did well to dribble through midfield but blazed it over the bar when he should have squared it was a good example of him - if he can do things like that in future but square it for an assist we should have a handy player on our hands. If he doesn't improve he might always be a bit 'mid' for me.

Early days especially in that position and I think he's been a positive addition on the whole so far. Still pretty young and great attitude on him

I was being critical not of his general play but his passing not being up to scratch. That it was too safe and not being able to spread it to the wings or break the lines. I have seen improvements there so I think he has every chance to make it here.

If Rodri can get fit then the two together in the tougher games are an absolute must. Rodri is also very good further ahead. I can't wait to see them paired together.

Reminds me of Rodri in terms of mentality and intelligence. Often that's more important than raw talent. He's going to be a top player.

Someone posterd earlier and I think it’s spot on. Nico plays the game like Gareth Barry. Not flash can score the odd screamer and keeps things ticking along. Double pivot would be great. Barry was criminally underrated.

That was a prime Rodri performance minus a crucial goal, getting better and better, I'd start him against the dippers with Rodri alongside him if the latter is fully fit, if not than Nico and Bernie like today.

Best performance for city today. Looking like the real deal in and out of possession. Surprised at how cleverly he gets himself out of tricky situations when the ball finds him in tight spaces.
